    Ovo što slušamo je izgleda loš rip s vinyl-a. Evo šta kaže čovek "I got the CD today and the difference between the vinyl rip and the real deal amazes me. It sounds far too clear now, though." Što nisam ovo pre ovo video, nego slušao ovu glupost.

    Koliko ja pročitah na ovoj najdužoj recenziji za ovaj album, 7 pesama je novo.

    Evo slušam prvi put, i mislim da je bubanj programiran,naročito se primeti kad se čuje doboš više puta zaredom. Da je ostao Gary Isom mislim da bi bio življi bubanj. Ali nije loš album na prvo slušanje. American Dream peva Victor, pa ta pesma mnogo liči na Place of Skulls.

     

    A što se tiče filma o Bobby-ju, znajte da on voli da izmišlja i Joe bivši bubnjar kaže da on nikad nije bio u Kolumbiji niti je vozio avion... Čitao sam na nekom forumu, ne mogu sam da nađem.

    Ja sam došao u pet do devet i uhvatio samo zadnju pesmu od Loch Vostok, i od utiska mi je ostao samo taj, da sam mislio da pevač sedi, ali ne, on je samo nizak. Inače, preslušao sam im sva tri albuma i dobri su, i tačno sam pomislio kao azal ovi liče na Evergrey, a Leprous na Pain of Salvation, i to na ranije radove oba benda.

     

    Leprous bili mnogo dobri, samo možda je previše dve nove pesme, ona prva mnogo komplikovana da bi mogla da se oceni uživo.

     

    Gledao sam Therion kad je bio prvi put, ali mi je sad nekako bilo bolje, iako je Gothic Kabbalah bolji album od novog. Dobar je bio zvuk. A dobre su izabrali pesme s novog, jedino Sitra Ahra nije na tom nivou, ali nije loša uživo, onako zabavna. Hellequin je bila izvanredna, kao mjuzikl sa onim maskama, Vikstrom je tu zablistao. Još jedan highlight je bio Siren of the Woods, pre svega zato što mi ta pesma nije omiljena, ali uživo sa flautom, koju nisam ni znao da Tomas svira, je zvučala fantastično. Inače pevači bili dobri, jedino kad bi Snowy-jevo pevanje limitirali na growl ili kad svi pevaju zajedno (tad može da se toleriše), pokvario je Sophiu i Lemuriu. Ja mislim da Charistopher zna da on ne zna da peva, ali ga drži zato što je visok :) i ima harizmu za trojicu.

     

    Kraj je bio standardan, ove dve pesme su zučale apsolutno isto kao i prošli put, više je išlo s matrica nego što su oni svirali, naročito na Rise of Sodom, okej preterujem. Tu je i publika bila najglasnija. U suštini odličan koncert.

    Evo jednog zanimljivog dela:

     

    Cathedral have managed to harness the epic without having to make a 25-minute song. The album itself, which, again, somehow works, has a flow from one track to the next that simultaneously allows for the changes in approach and makes them cohesive. I think we knew coming into this record that Cathedral were going to go for something big, but with The Guessing Game, they surpass anything that could have reasonably been expected of them and deliver to all sides of their fanbase with a single record. Those looking for something far out will revel in “Funeral of Dreams,” “Cats, Incense, Candles and Wine” and “The Running Man,” while those with an ear for the straightforward dig on “Edwige’s Eyes,” “Casket Chasers” and “La Noche del Buque Maldito (AKA Ghost Ship of the Blind Dead),” leaving “Requiem for the Voiceless” to the doom heads begging for everything to be played at half-speed. And how do they cap it off? With a thanks to everyone who’s made the trip along with them.

    Prva, četvrta i peta pesma su mi dobre, naročito četvrta The Architect, gde se najviše i oseća Wino-ov uticaj. Druga i treća mi zvuče nekako više ambijentalno. Ovaj projekat mi je jedino i zanimljiv zbog Wino-a. Nije loš album, slušljiv je, mada zvuči nekako zbrzano, više kao zbir uticaja svojih članova, a ne kao nov bend sa jasnim fokusom. Ne verujem da će biti nastavka, mada ko zna.

    Preslušah gai ja jednom. Da li je iznenađujuće što ovako zvuči album, pa i nije baš s obzirom kako je zvučao prošli, puno klavijatura, čist zvuk, a bilo je i nekih pop deonica. Jedino su ovde ubacili one brze euro-power segmente bez kojih bi mi se album više svideo, naročito u pesmama The Furthest Shore i Living Sepulchre. A Vessel počinje odlično, ali je refren previše poppy i ponavlja se previše puta. A i bubnjevi nekako nemaju dinamiku, previše ravni. Najviše mi se sviđaju akustični pasaži i oni sporiji delovi, kojih ima, ali jako malo. Album nije mnogo lošiji od prošlog, ali to je zato što mi se ni on nije baš naročito svideo osim 2-3 njegove pesme.

     

    Evo šta kaže Tom o sledećem, albumu:

     

    I also wanted to mention that the follow-up to VOL, "Fear Of Infinity" is a dark fucking album...no "Vessels" on there at all...and yes, it is completely written and has been...really it's the other half of the VOL album...those who've already heard VOL will note that "Epilogue" changes the feel right at the end....that's where "Fear Of Infinity" picks up. Albeit with even more aggressive riffs...and balanced by what is clearly the greatest doom song WHW has ever written...and quite possibly the last. Doom song that is. (But knowing the way my life has taken so many twists and turns, who knows...I guess it all depends upon where we are as people when the time comes for the 5th album)
