MY BIG NEWS IS...

It is with the highest honor that I can announce I am the guitarist for the newest incarnation of PENTAGRAM! The lineup features Bobby Leibling (vocal), Gary Isom (Drums), Mark Amen (Bass) & yours truly. We will be doing shows & releasing the new studio album "Last Rites". Sad je na 202-ci Olga rekla da će biti u emisiji, jer su u Beograda zbog snimanja spota.

Peslušao sam i pomalo razočaran, jer su pesme jako dobre, ali bend izgleda neuvežbano. Da sam ja producent ja bih im rekao još dve nedelje vežbajte, pa onda dođite da snimate. Naročito se to vidi kad ide nešto brži tempo i kod solaža. Ali, ipak to nije najveća mana ovog albuma, već su to vokali. Njihova produkcija izgleda kao da su "zaleplljeni" i dodati kasnije, a i preglasni su u miksu. Dok instrumentalni deo benda zvuči vrlo retro, vokal zvuči moderno, pa cela stvar zvuči nekoherentno. Ne samo produkcija, već i stil pevanja Gary Martin-a, koji je zamenio Zeeb-a Parkes-a, se po mom mišljenju ne uklapa u Witchfinder General.
Kao što rekoh sve pesme su jako dobre, osim A Night to Remember. Što je za prvi album bila No Stayer, a za drugi Music, to je za treći A Night to Remember - party rocker, ali prilično bljutava.
Prva i poslednja pesma su najdoomskije. Phil Cope još uvek svira gitaru na isti način kao i pre dvadeset godina, ima dosta catchy rifova sa trilerima.
Nije loše, ali očekovao sam više. Pagan Altar je napravio bolji comeback.

Moji utisci:
Amon Din namerno preskočih, dođoh taman na njihovu zadnju pesmu.
Belphegor mislim da su imali najbolji zvuk od sviju, al ne nešto naročito. Nisu bili loše, al baš kratko su svirali.
Grave je bio moj favorit. Vidim imaju novog gitaritu, a ja sam mislio da će da sviraju kao trio. Zvuk je bio lošiji od Belphegorovog, ali njihova muzika i ne vapi za dobrim zvukom, pa i ovako može da se toleriše. Mislim da je na njima bila najbolja atmosfera (čitaj šutki), jer pesme idu: spori ili doomy deo pa onda old school tu-pa-tu-pa-tu-pa ili blast. Dobar je bio i izbor pesama. 6 starih. Kad počeše Into the Grave pomislio sam: - Šta, već gotovo?, ali ne ostaviše za kraj njihov najveći hit - Soulless. Evo i setliste (verovatno u nepravilnom redosledu):

Možda je bila još jedna sa novog, a možda i ne. Tek, mislim da nisu svirali duže od 50 min.
Onda buka, hoću reći Nile. Jeste, oni sviraju brutalni kompleksni death metal, i ne može se očekivati da zvuče kao na albumima, ali da li mora ovako loše da zvuči? A, mоžda to oni i hoće takav zvuk da ne možemo da čujemo kako falširaju, he he. No, svejedno Dallas je sjajan frontmen i on me je najviše oduševio: - Let me your death metal voice... - ARRRRRRR, - That sounds powerful! (and hilarious might I add). I najava je Papyrus me je nasmejala, jer bih ja rekao: - Next one is from our new album, it's called Papyrus et cetera.
Najbolje su mi zvučale Sacrifice, Lashed, pa i ove sporije Black Flame, Eat of the Dead mada one malo uspavljuju. A za kraj su svirali pesmu koji svi, zbog nekog razloga zovu Unas, Slayer of the Gods, a ja je zovem Well of Souls. Pevanje na uvodu je bilo moćno.
Karl je na posle koncerta bio pored ograde slikao se i potpisivao tek sam onda video koliko je nizak i da ima potpuno bele obrve. Je l' zna neko odakle su mu preci, možda Nemačke, Švedske?
Mislim se sad da l' da idem opet na Morbid Angel. Išao bih kad bi dosta izmenili setlistu, ovako opet iste pesme...

Sad slušam 202-ku i kaže Vlada Jet: "Evo poruke - Šta je sa koncertom Heaven and Hell je l' i on otkazan? Pa, nije ni zakazan, ali u principu tebalo bi da bude zakazan, a gde i kada... videćemo".

Nisi u pravu za Mona Lizu i Sikstinsku kapelu. Cilj stvaranja ovih dela je bio pre svega komercijalan. Za ove dva druga primera nisam siguran.

I meni je onaj medley bez veze. U stvari dobar je dok ne počne Don't Fear the Winter, а od nje samo ostavili refren i to da bi bilo pevanja. Bilo bi super da su je odsvirali celu i s njom završili. Mada, mislim da im je sviranje te pesme više dosadilo, pa su ostavili samo taj deo zbog fanova.

Singer Eric Wagner has left Trouble; former Warrior Soul/Dirty Rig frontman Kory Clarke has been named as the replacement.
The Trouble website has the following posting from founder and guitarist Rick Wartell:
“It was a mutual agreement, you need to follow your heart in this business and if you are not into it a hundred percent then it is time to move on. We all felt it was the best thing for all parties involved. There are no hard feelings. I`m sure Eric will continue making music and we wish him the best.
“We are very excited to have Kory step in and take over the vocals for Trouble. He [has] been one of my favorite frontmen in this industry for many years. He will add a new demention [sic] that we can use. It is not like we just picked out some guy to fill in. This is one of rock`s most dynamic and creative frontmen in the industry.
“I know that when Trouble fans get a taste of what Kory does, they will not be disappointed at all. Anyone who has seen Kory with Warrior Soul already knows what to expect, and it`s awesome.”
Eric Wagner also posted on the Trouble website:
"It is with my deepest regret that by mutual agreement that Trouble and I have parted ways effective immediately.
"I love them very much and I wish them nothing but the best. At this moment in time I just can`t handle touring anymore.
"All I want to do is write songs and work on my new project, Black Finger.
"I am sorry and I love you all."

Gledao sam neke stare spotove Warrior Soul-a i sviđa mi se, mislim da nabavim možda neki od prva tri albuma.

Candlemass - Releasing New Material
Candlemass announced that the "Lucifer Rising" EP will be recorded in April with a scheduled September release through Nuclear Blast. The EP features two brand new tracks - "Lucifer Rising" and "The White God", plus a whole bunch of live tracks from the previous tour.
A new album will be recorded in autumn for a spring 2009 release.
Also, the following albums will be re-released in 2008 on Snapper/Peaceville:

Inače, oni su na turneji po SAD sa Slough Feg i oni su headlineri?! Što bi rekli Englezi "Oh, the humanity!"
Pa, muzika i nije tako loša, vrlo je catchy, iako je 90 posto rip-off High on Fire-a, ali je vokal najgori mogući.

Sad sam i ja zainteresovan da idem u Sofiju pre svega zbog Down-a, ali i zbog ova druga dva benda.

Reunited British extreme Metal pioneers CARCASS will play a number of European festival shows this summer, including Sweden Rock, Hellfest, Tuska and Wacken Open Air.
Says guitarist Michael Amott (also of ARCH ENEMY): "We got together last week and spent seven days straight rehearsing and preparing a set for the European festivals we have booked for the summer.
"Jeff Walker (bass, vocals) and Bill Steer (guitar, vocals) flew in to the south of Sweden (where I live) and we got down to business!
"The vibe was great during the week of rehearsals and a ’jolly good time’ was had by all!
"The CARCASS songs are still such amazing innovative pieces of music to me, challenging and rewarding to play.
"For me personally it has been a very gratifying process to reconnect with Jeff Walker and Bill Steer again, on both a musical and personal level. There were so many jokes and old anecdotes going around — I just basically spent the whole week laughing my ass off… Looks this reunion is good idea!
"We don’t have a confirmed set list set in stone yet, but we rehearsed songs from all five CARCASS albums, I am guessing it’s no surprise to you out there that we are building the set around a huge blood dripping chunk of ’Heartwork’ tunes!?
"I was a huge fan of the band before I joined CARCASS — so playing the songs from the first two albums ’Reek Of Putrefaction’ and ’Symphonies Of Sickness’ (that I did not perform/write on) is still a thrill for me. Extreme death/grind master class!
"Hearing Jeff and Bill trading vocals on ’Exhume To Consume’ again was INSANE! They both sung and played so great, by the way.
"Jeff’s vocals are so disturbingly hateful — it’s beautiful music to my ears… And Bill Steer is still the riff machine and SICK, outlandish lead player. These guys deliver goods. Goosebump material!
"Original drummer Ken Owen, who unfortunately can’t be a part of the reunion due to health reasons, is replaced for the upcoming shows by Daniel [Erlandsson; ARCH ENEMY], who is killing the drum parts — no surprise there, really!? Basically, it’s all coming together in perfect distorted harmony!
"We will be getting together again in a few weeks to continue the rehearsals…
"I’ll be doing my best to practice and memorize the 1,297 or so riffs and solos – I’ll have it all nailed come the first show June 6th, promise!
"And finally, before we get swamped with ’why aren’t you playing in my city/country???" messages — we are talking about doing more shows in other territories outside of Europe, if there is enough interest that is! Let’s see what happens over the next few weeks/months."

I just spoke to Ron Holzner who's handling the St.Vitus reunion at Roadburn 2009. It's gonna be the line-up with Wino -hell yeah!!!
Scott Reagers isn't coming over, I don't know what happend, but he won't be there -the initial talks were about a show with both singers, and I'm sorry that we couldn't pull that one off, but I'm stoked like hell that St.Vitus will play. Thanks to Wino!!!! He really helped us out big time, and I'm very thankfull to him!!!!
The official announcement will be made in a few weeks. I'm currently working on lots of bands for Roadburn 2009...
