  1. Tražio sam neke sveže setliste Amorphis-a i evo nađoh jednu. Posle ovog koncerta u Bukureštu u martu su svirali još tri u Finskoj.

    09.02.2008 - Bucharest, Romania

    The setlist:

    1. I Of Crimson Blood

    2. Towards and Against

    3. Against Widows

    4. Drowned Maid

    5. Leaves Scar

    6. On Rich and Poor

    7. Her Alone

    8. Silent Waters

    9. Into Hiding

    10. The Sign from the North Side

    11. The Smoke

    12. My Kantele

    13. The Castaway

    14. Alone

    ------

    15. House of Sleep

    16. Black Winter Day

  2. Uzmi preslušaj prvo Mark of the Beast, koji je snimljen 1981, ali nije izdat.

Vrlo je raznolik, Tree of Life zvuči kao pre-metal Manilla Road, Eye of the Storm je akustična balada, Conquest thrasherska, dok su ostale standarno epske.

  3. I ja sam tek sad video iako je davno bilo. Za jedan poen.

Reverend Bizarre - III So Long Suckers - (Spikefarm)

By BillZebub @ 8:36 PM :: 71 Views :: 0 Comments :: [Article Rating] :: Doom, Other Metal [Click to print]

The first song on this album has about 3 minutes of actual Doom before turning into karaoke night at the gay rodeo, where the singer brays like a drunken ass and the band plays the silliest most happy sounding riffs I’ve ever heard this side of an aids ward. Track 2 sounds like someone making fun of real Doom up to about 15 minutes in, when the theme to a homosexual tractor pull rears it’s mustachioed face. The cute little Jazz bit at the end made me want to shut it off right then but I got distracted and before I knew it the next song was playing. That one, Funeral Summer, was actually pretty decent. Close to the stuff I like most in the genre. That song made me curious to see what was on the 2nd disc. I was lulled into a false sense of security however as almost every riff I spooged over was eventually cut short by a heterosexually-challenged ho down at the church social. (I got a million of ’em folks.) Fuck this band and fuck all the other groups that try to pass generic pentatonic riffs and free form jazz faggotry off as Doom. The best thing about this release is that it’s their last.

  6.

Cirith Ungol live at the Ventura Theater. This is likely the only video of its kind out there....

This was our last concert ever. The quality of the video is not good. It was certainly not one of our best shows as the band was suffering from disillusionment over our record company and personal problems. Jimmy and Vern left the band shortly afterwards with just me and Tim left deciding after a 22 year run to call it quits. A sad commentary on a great band I was lucky to be a part of.....

I naravno da je And the Cannons... mnogo bolji od Rising Out...

  8. Šta kaže Ben Ward iz Orange Golbin-a o koncertu:

I had mixed feelings going to the show last night as I was really worried that it might suck but thankfully, I had no need to worry. Led Zeppelin fucking ruled last night! There is a real certain kind of magic that they create playing together. Roberts voice was, for the most part, perfect. Jimmy Page was everything he should be, killer tone that improved as the set wore on. John Paul Jones is just solid and one of the most under-rated musicians in the world. Jason Bonham was, well, let's just say he done what he had to do. He didn't let them down but he is not his dad and the few times he tried to be he fell way short! The highligts for me were No Quarter, Kashmir and Rock & Roll but every song intro was a definite goosebump moment that I will never forget. I don't know whether it was the hype surrounding the show or just the magic of Led Zep but it was a really amazing atmosphere in there. I got to sit through the whole show next to David Gilmour too which was fun, especially when he was heckling Paul Rodgers before Zeppelin and calling him a twat for not playing All Right Now!

PS - Dave Grohl was fucking hammered and running about like an excited schoolboy before the show, grabbing Steve Crobar in a headlock and screaming 'Are You Ready!!!!!?'

Everybody in the whole arena stood up for the entire performance. There was no pit or anything but there were patches of long-hairs scattered around headbanging!

I must confess something to you, I don't really like it. When I saw it, even though it is a very nice video clip, I occupy almost the entire video clip with my face! I am at front all the time and it is like an advertisement for me! (Laughs!)

  11. CANDLEMASS bassist/leader Leif Edling recently spoke

to Metal Maniacs magazine about the band's new album,

"King of the Grey Islands", Messiah Marcolin's

departure and the addition of SOLITUDE AETURNUS

vocalist Robert Lowe. A couple of excerpts follow:

    On Messiah Marcolin:

"I do want to say that if he [Messiah] hadn't taken

this public, I wouldn't have had to respond in public.

I think it's a shame that Messiah feels the need to go

out in public and on forums to further prove that he's

in the wrong, though I'm not surprised by it. He's a

drama queen, and you've probably noticed that not many

people are taking his side. We tried everything we

could to make it work, but he just obviously can't be

in this band. Our fans aren't stupid and they've seen

and heard him pull this kind of shit before. For the

last album, he did a lot of interviews where he was

apologizing, saying he was sorry for being a wanker to

    the others in the band."

"With Messiah, it's not a matter of if you're walking

on thin ice. You're always walking on thin ice. It's

not if he's going to flip out, it's when. We found

ourselves having to ask, 'Can we rehearse this week

with Messiah? Can we record the album with this man?

Will it be possible to do this show with him?' When

you have to put these questions to yourself every

week, it's just not worth it. To run a band is a

really complicated thing, and when you constantly have

to strive and argue with someone that takes such a

nothing, little problem and makes a huge deal of it,

it makes things shitty for everyone. And there's

really no need for it. We had huge success with the

last album and we sold a lot of copies. Everything was

rosy, and we really had no fucking problems. And then

Messiah starts in whining about this or that, and — we

call him The Big Black Negative Hole, because he just

sucks the life out of whoever's around him as far as

the band goes. Sure, you have days when it's good, and

we had good times with him, but you just know that

very, very soon something will happen to turn it all

    to shit."

"There are a lot of people who say, 'Oh, Messiah is

CANDLEMASS.' But he didn't sing on 'Epicus Doomicus

Metallicus', now did he? And I can find just as many

people who like that album better than the ones

Messiah was on. ['Epicus'] was a very important album

to a lot of people. I think that fans of the band

should be open-minded about a new singer. There are

lots of good songs on this album, and if you liked the

last one, this one should blow you away."

    On Robert Lowe:

"Well, we went for a Swedish singer first. We listened

to about 30 vocalists from Sweden and didn't really

find the perfect fit, so we branched out to the rest

of Scandinavia and Europe. From there we even had to

widen our search, so we were getting hundreds of

people trying out. There were people from South

America, Japan, India, Russia — just everywhere. Some

of them were OK, some were more than OK, and then

there were some that you wondered why they ever

bothered opening their mouths [laughs]. The funny

thing to me was that everyone who tried out had a

MySpace page where we could listen to them. I knew

MySpace was big, but I really never realized how

popular it was until looking for a singer!"

"We wanted someone unknown, but someone with the stage

presence and vocal prowess CANDLEMASS fans expect, and

we as a band expect as well. We hadn't actually

thought of going for someone already in a

well-respected band, but we got an email from Heather,

Robert's girlfriend, asking if we'd thought of Robert.

I knew who he was, of course, but only had heard him

sing SOLITUDE AETURNUS songs. We sent him the demoed

tracks for the album, and after we got his tapes back

with his vocals over top, it was like, 'Fuckin' hell,

    this is brilliant!'"

On "King of the Grey Islands":

"Everything with this album happened at the 11th hour.

Still, we didn't panic or anything. We never really

operate with a Plan B, which can be stressful at

times, but that's how we work. We got Robert just

barely in time for him to sing on the album, and I'll

tell you, sometimes the stress was at ulcer level. We

knew what had to be done, though, so we just made it

    happen as always.

"Let me tell you how close we cut it with finishing

this record in time. After a month of work with

special delivery from Dallas to Stockholm and

Stockholm to Dallas, I had to take Robert's vocals and

put them in the computer, then clean all the files.

Our mail gets picked up from the post office at 7:00

p.m. on Friday and I literally ran to the mailbox and

got there at 10 minutes to. Peter [Tägtgren] had to

have the files by Monday so he could mix the album in

the ten days he had to do it. In the end, the album

coming out on time or not was down to a ten minute

    difference!"

issue of Metal Maniacs, on sale August 21.

Members from original MERCYFUL FATE, KING DIAMOND, FORCE OF EVIL and ZOSER MEZ were all present to support Michael in getting married. MERCYFUL FATE presented five members, KING DIAMOND presented three members, FORCE OF EVIL presented five members and ZOSER MEZ presented four members.
