darthmoog Posted May 30, 2007 Report post Posted May 30, 2007 (edited) According to Finland's MTV3, the new NIGHTWISH single "Eva" is currently under investigation by Teosto, the Finnish RIAA equivalent whose task it is to promote the rights of composers, lyricists, arrangers and music publishers, and to strengthen the diversity of Finnish composition. The chorus of the song is allegedly very similar to a track called "Whirlpool" by Jukka Reinvuon, a relatively unknown Finnish artist. In fact, the similarities are so great that allegations of plagiarism have already been thrown around. NIGHTWISH keyboardist and composrt Tuomas Holopainen has denied the accusation, saying that he just heard about this today (May 30) and that he has never heard the song or the artist in question. Holopainen went on to add that he was interested in hearing the track first before commenting further. Ova pjesma veze sa Evom nema,samo pretp. jedan od pokusaja da autor ugrabi malo slave (mada vidjevsi koliko mu je pjesma losa,nije mu ni cudo sto zeli da stekne popularnost makar na ovakav nacin). I ako se oslanja na neku jadnu slicnost u melodiji,to su stvari koje se desavaju u muzici,stalno. Tako sam ja još 1993. napisao rif za pesmu "Wrath Of The Demon" koji tri godine kasnije čujem na Bathory albumu "Blood On Ice" (pesma "Gods Of Thunder, Of Wind And Of Rain" imam i svedoke), ili rif iz 1995. koji sam čuo kod Edguy-a na "Hellfire Club" albumu (pesma Children Of Steel - uvodni rif). Izvini ali mogu i ja sad da dodjem i da prijavim Najvtvish kao plagijatore koji su mi ukrali pesmu organizaciji za zastitu autorski prava, i ona ce morati to da istrazi.. to ne znaci da sam ja u pravu...
