Dysrhythmia

Progressive rock, heavy metal, indie-rock, avant-jazz and ambient mesmerism are combined through the high-energy music of Philadelphia-based trio, Dysrhythmia.

Formed in March 1999, Dysrhythmia represents the vision of guitarist Kevin Hufnagel and bassist Clayton Ingerson, a former music major at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Friends since high school, they worked together, in the mid-1990s, as members of Grey Division Blue.

They recently added Behold... The Arctopus famed Warr guitarist Colin Marston, now playing bass, replacing Clayton Ingerson, the band's former bassist and a founding member. The band plays an intense yet thoughtful crossblend of tech metal and post rock, often burgeoning on shifting time signatures and contradictingly mellow guitar phrases. Completely instrumental, the band's focal point is in its unique crossbreed of frantic time signature evolution and melliflous guitar passages.
