Milan Posted December 14, 2009 Report post Posted December 14, 2009 THE GENERALS is a young Swedish band that equally worship Motörhead, Entombed, Hellacopters, Slayer, Dismember and Spiritual Beggars. Their fine debut album Stand Up Right (lately out on Metalcentral Records) has been produced by Tomas Skogsberg, of the famous Stockholm-based Sunlight Studio. Although the sources of inspiration are definitely recognizable, these guys didn’t do any kind of "Wolverine Blues" copy. As from their album title, the band “stands upright on its own feet and pumps up accurate volleys on a conveyor belt that will make you guaranteed to put you in salute.” So, as a reviewer wrote, nothing that changes the history of music, but twelve big, healthy bites of metal and rock rolling out of a coffin ...
