ThanatoSchizO Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 (edited) Dear friends, My name is Gui from Portugal and I play guitar on ThanatoSchizO, a progressive Doom\Death Metal band. Here's the latest news about ThanatoSchizO: Portuguese avant-garde maniacs THANATOSCHIZO entered Rec'n'Roll Studios in Valadares, Porto, Portugal last month with producer (and TARANTULA drummer) Luis Barros to begin recording their fourth album. Watch the (so far) 3 video report from the studio at : Vídeo 1: Vídeo 2: Vídeo 3: Confirmed guest appearances on the CD include Timb Harris (ESTRADASPHERE) and Svein Egil Hatlevik (ZWEIZZ, FLEURETY, ex-DØDHEIMSGARD). A summer release is expected. THANATOSCHIZO last year signed a deal with the Mexican label Divenia Records for the release of their first album, "Schizo Level", on the American continent. The CD garnered attention due to its combination of "schizoid black metal, saxs, trumpets and ethereal doom passages," according to a press release. ThanatoSchizO Posted January 3, 2008 Author Report Posted January 3, 2008 Portuguese Scene Report @ Terrorizer (Outubro 2007): ThanatoSchizO Hailing from an isolated region of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, in the interior north of Portugal, ThanatoSchizO are a decade-old band who have always defied categorisation, incorporating in their technical and compelx sound elements of progressive death metal, ambient, black metal and electronics. They have just finished recording their fourth album, featuring the guest talents of Timb Harris from Estradasphere and Svein Egil Hatlevik from Fleurety and former DHG, a pair that illustrates very well the contrasts at play in ThanatoSchizO's music. In the meanwhile, catch the videos of the recordings that band has made available on Youtube. José Carlos Santos and Paulo Figueiredo Quote
