Maleva
Posted 24 jul 2008
evo malo screamo zvuka ..
----------
----------
----------
The members of Maleva have become known as one of the hardest working bands in the metal/rock world. These hardened vets of the underground scene bring with them a new found passion. Incorporating heavy with the melodic, Maleva has created a musical entity that's fueled by driving riffs, explosive drumming, exuberant lows and haunting vocals. They're are not driven by fame or illusions of grandeur, they set out with the selfish intention of pushing themselves to new limits and creating music that a band can take pride in. Every member's experience have led up to this new endeavor.
The current line-up of Maleva was not conceived until late 2007, but the project has been the brainchild of guitarists Ahmad and Derek for several years now. After living in several states, their travels brought them to the tumultuous Los Angeles music scene. Setting up base-camp in the heart of Hollywood, Derek and Ahmad found a drummer ad on the social networking site Myspace, a hotbed for undiscovered acts and talent. After several jam sessions and a new name, a three song demo was recorded. The songs were posted on Myspace in hopes of acquiring a worthy frontman. After extensive tryouts and hit and misses, Evan was then added to the Maleva entity. In need of a solid low-end, Maleva was finally completed with the addition of Steve on bass duties. With a full line-up and an unstoppable drive, Maleva is intent in making their mark.
Enter 2008.....with a new year upon us, we expect to make this a pivotal year for us. new EP, merchandise, photos, shows and nation wide tours are in the works....you are all welcome to be apart of this, you will remember our names and we will be on the forefront of the heavy scene. Maleva is proudly endorsed by the following ...

Hard rock and metal mixed with a unique, inventive musical
style. While dark and melancholy, this music also has a positive
undertone of hope and power hidden within. Featuring soaring
guitars, brain bashing drums and multi-faceted vocals.
From bucolic North Carolina surfaces a hard rock band that has
achieved the unthinkable. Curse Your Name (formerly known as
Cynder) has begun to realize its dream, and has garnished name
recognition the world over. CYN is a 5-piece unit that knows no
boundaries when it comes to climbing to the top. Formed in 1998,
CYN has overcome trials and tribulations as they slowly climbed
the ranks in the local music scene. Their unique and inventive
musical style, while dark and melancholy, also has a positive
undertone of hope and power hidden within. The world of CYN is
brought to life in full, vivid color to the listener through the
searing guitar leads of one of the greatest guitar duos of all
time: J.J. Moore and Brian Ingold the relentless brain-bashing
drum work of Brandon Alford fretboard-encompassing bass lines
delivered by John Ward and the powerful, multi-faceted vocals
of Ryan Camp.
This is not a band that relies solely on one type of sound its
all over the radar, ranging from slow and psychotically,
peaceful melodies to fast-paced and aggressive chaos. Over the
last two years, the current line up of CYN has been tearing up
regional crowds, and released three self-produced CDs, including
the seminal Hide the Light (2003), and has sparked rabid fans
worldwide (self-proclaimed CYNners). The biggest event for CYN
was their selection to take part in the nationwide band
competition presented by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, MTVs Battle
for Ozzfest. The Battle attracted both metal and non-metal fans
all over the world each week. The band surpassed 600 others to
make it to the final episode, and placed second, receiving 43
of the votes from millions of people worldwide. With the help of
the show, CYN has developed an enormous fan base, quickly
turning their band from local heroes into a household name.
The band has been featured in almost every area newspaper and
entertainment mag, Rolling Stone and AP Magazine, MTVs XM radio
station, and local and college radio stations throughout the
Southeast. The band has also had the honor of sharing the stage
with rock legends like Slayer, Shadows Fall, Black Label
Society, Dimmu Borgir, Judas Priest, and even Black Sabbath!
With a new full-length CD on the horizon that features tracks
that are sure to please fans of rock, metal, and everything
in-between, old fans and new fans will soon have the chance to
venture into the dark and beautiful world of sound that is Curse
Your Name!

Bio:
Wide Eye Panic from Olympia Washington has been a band for 5
years now. They are one of the few Alternative Metal bands in
Olympia. Their influences include Tool, Deftones, Pantera,
Sevendust, 10 Years and Mudvayne. They are a melting pot of all
those bands yet strive to be their own thing. With Aram Wheeler
on vocals, every song has a unique sound of its own. They
regularly play clubs from Everett, WA, Seattle, WA, Tacoma, WA,
Olympia, and Portland, OR. With their first independent release
Distorted View they sold around 2,000 copies on their own. A
success for the band. It made enough money to fund the new in
depth recording The Process. They have received airplay on the
Seattle based station 104.9 The Funky Monkey. The airplay
increased their turnout to clubs and website hits by 100. Wide
Eye Panic strives to put on a great show every show and to have
a very professional outlook on studio work. From melodic to
intense Wide Eye Panic will continue to grow a fan base with
self promotion and street team work. They will be heard.
Their Story:
In 2003 Adam Gonzales wanted to start a band. He had played in
many bands in the Northwest and was looking for something new
and fresh. He Ended up finding Wes Dewees who had come out to
Washington from London Kentucky. They started jammin.
Then Andrew Kuhn came into the picture.
He was working at a tire store and a local promoter, Lisa
Bonner, came into his store and was talking about trying to find
a drummer for Adam. The guy at the desk handed her Andrews
card. She got Andrew, Adam and Wes together.
The story continues at a local Olympia music store, Music 6000.
Mark Mauer was in and out of bands all over the northwest.
Unable to find his niche. So he put up a flier for himself
saying I really need to jam. Into Hard Rock and Metal. Please
FN call me. Even just to BS. Its unclear who pulled the
flier off the wall but Adam called Mark and he came by to jam.
Upon arrival at Adams house, Mark realized that he had known
Adam for years. So now Adam, Wes, Andrew and Mark started
rehearsing at Marks house.
They had 3 songs by the time they started looking for a singer.
Myself, Untitled and Something in the Corner. All went on to be
great songs. Mark was headstrong on getting his roommate at the
time, Aram Wheeler, to try out for the band. The first tryout
didnt go so well. Mark was confused, knowing Arams skill
level, and had to get him into the band. Mark and Aram sat down
one afternoon and went over the song Myself. Mark and Aram
figured if they came to the next tryout with a song where they
went back and forth on vocals in which Mark was the screamer and
Aram was the voice, then there would be no way they could turn
him down. The next tryout came and Mark and Aram did what they
had worked on the previous day. They sang the song Myself just
like it is on Distorted View. Andrew, Adam and Wes kinda
looked at each other. Wes said that Arams voice was infectious
and that was that. Wide Eye Panic was Aram Wheeler, Mark Mauer,
Adam Gonzales, Wes Dewees and Andrew Kuhn.
They hit the Northwest scene for a while, then got into the
studio around April 2005. This is where Dave Filburn comes into
play. He is Wide Eye Panics Production Engineer. He works at
Filburn Studios in Beaverton, Oregon. So on July 21st 2005 Wide
Eye Panic released their first full length album Distorted
View. After that they played all over the Northwest again.
Becoming much more well known in the region. And as everything
was going smoothly there had to be a rut. Wes Dewees and wife
Rachael were going to have a baby. They wanted to raise their
child with family so Wes moved back to Kentucky. The members
split under good terms and Wes and Rachael and beloved friends
of the band still to this day. He is in a band called 1st Decent
in Kentucky. Check it out on MySpace.com.
After that they had to find another guitar player since they had
shows schedules. They called upon Cory Holien, who had played in
one of Arams previous bands. He came in and rocked it and they
wrote some new material with him. That was around October 7th
2005. He played in the band until October 7th 2006, when he left
the band for personal reasons. He is also still a close friend
and we love to party with him. After that the band held
auditions for another guitar player. They tried out a lot of
great musicians. At the end they chose Randy Bebich, a close
friend of Adam. Randy came into the band February 2007. Now Wide
Eye Panic has left the studio once again and have another full
length album in production. The album titled The Process is
the bands best work to date and should be out 2008. Look for it.
That is Wide Eye Panics story. They will continue to Rock the
greater Northwest and they appreciate your support... Awesome
and Goodnight......
