    Any word on the new album?

     

    According to recent interviews, SOAD will be coming out with two Albums in 2005.

     

    "Mesmerize" is the title of the first album and

    "Hypnotize" is the title of the second. Exact dates are still unknown or even the exact order of how the albums will be released.

     

    SOAD have been known to fuck with the media so keep that in mind before getting too excited.

    Quoted from original bio: "It came from a poem our guitarist, Daron, had written, called 'Victims of a Down,'" explains Serj. "He brought it to us, and 'System' was chosen as a better, stronger word, and it makes it into a 'whole,' instead of the people in particular, it's the society."

    What is the hidden track on Toxicity all about?

     

    The proper title of the track is: "Der Vorghomya" meaning; Lord have Mercy in Armenian.

     

    "The last song on Toxicity is a very personal piece of work. All four band members descend from Armenia, a little country in the south of the former Soviet Union. 'Arto' is a very emotional piece of Armenian folklore and has its own history. John Dolmayan: "The artist we recorded this song with is Arto Tuncboyaciyan, also an Armenian. We invited him to the studio to do the percussions for this traditional armenian song. He's the only artist outside the band who can be heard on the album. The moment we recorded the song was very magical and emotional, almost spiritual. When I played the song to my mother she cried. It's a sorrowful song that is played at funerals." A reaction of Serj Tankian's family is also known: "My grandfather reacted also very emotional to the song because he lost his whole family in the first half of the last century. They were all killed by the Turkish army."

    "Rolling suicide" is what Serj says. Suicide, was the original name of the track but for whatever reason(s) the band changed the name to "Chop Suey".

    u prolece I a na zimu II album (odnosno IV i V)...

     

    ja chula na njihovom 4umu da legend of zelda nije njihova stvar..

     

    anyway, oni u australiji u jan i feb drze 8 certova!!! a 30 maja u milanu, pa u junu u engleskojj par puta, nemachkoj, shvedskoj, norveshkoj... moram na bar 1 od tih..

    ne znam da li je ove neko vec napisao, ali mrzi me da chitam 9 stranica, tako da ako jeste, izvinite...

     

    daklem, oni koji mi prvi padaju na pamet su:"requiem for a dream", "hackers", "lost and delirous", gomila onih klasichnih trilera o ubistvu (ali pravih), jaaaoo kako se zove onaj film...ne znam... mozda neko zna-. lika hvata policija i on im pricha neku prichu o tome kako je on zavrshio tu gde su ga uhapsili i to je ceo film a pricha je neverovatna, tipa neki svetski mafijash, ogroman, niko ne moze da ga uhvati, niko (chak ni oni koji rade za njega) ne znaju kako izgleda i on sazove njega i jposh neke likove da rade za njega i na kraju svi pomru sem njega jer on nije mogao u akciju jer shepa i tu ga uhvati policija, i policija mu sve poveruje a na kraju se ispostavi da je on u stvari taj mafijash.

     

     

    btw, jel je neko gledao "nothing"?? MNOGO tripozan film.....

    "SYSTEM OF A DOWN is winding down in the studio as they are putting final touches on Mesmerize & Hypnotize. The first record, Mesmerize, of the two-album set is due out mid spring and will be followed by the second Hypnotize in late 2005. The new music "is more mature" and promises "pure schizophrenia."
