Nov 08 Evergrey studio report # 8 Hey guys ! Another week of pure fuckin metal mayhem has begun ! : )) Anyway. I finsihed all the guitar parts I had left for the first 8 songs, and it all went so much smoother than I ever could have imagined . I have to explain this for you first, when we write songs for an album, we do just that, we do not rehearse them before we record them , so everyone is pretty much just rehearsing by themselves . We are sending files back and forth and of course there are LOTS of discussions. I don’t know why we have chosen this way of getting it done but it has it’s pros and cons. For instance, it is hell to sit and try to pick put what the hell you’re playing but at the same time writing like that makes it all much more fresh and spontanious. The real problems come whenever we will start to rehearse the songs for tours when NOONE have played them together with anyone ….. Maybe we’re stupid …. We have been working like this since “in search of truth” Too lazy to jam it out , hehe.. Today Henrik’s doing guitars for a song called “Fear” and probably continuing with drums on a new song called “Numb”. On Monday we will start writing again for 10 -15 days, to finish the last couple of ideas for songs we have. It’s pretty cool since we haven’t listened to those ideas at all since before we started the recording. That really should bring some objectivity. We will try to post a new video clip tomorrow or Friday. So you know where and what to check .. Later…. ’ t

US metallers band PHARAOH are once again in the studio, for the recordings of their third album Be Gone, which is going to be released shortly before their first European appearance (and first show ever) at the Germany’s Keep It True Festival taking place on April the 5th, 2008 at the Tauberfrankenhalle in Lauda-Königshofen.

Extreme progressive metal leaders INTO ETERNITY will join SYMPHONY X and EPICA for a month-long North American trek next spring. The tour, which kicks off on April 4th, will mark the start of the worldwide touring cycle for the band's new album. What a way to kick off the new album cycle. I look forward to seeing Epica as well. "When we were writing Buried In Oblivion in 2002/2003, we listened to a lot of Symphony X. They were an influence on our band for sure. We met Russell [Allen, Symphony X vocalist] at a gig on the Dream Theater tour this summer. Then he came to one of our shows on the Edguy tour, where we hung with him and got wasted on our RV! Thanks to Russell and the guys for going to bat for us and getting us on this package. Hopefully Micheal Romeo will show me a few licks at some point in the tour!" Into Eternity are currently hard at work on material for their new recording, which guitarist/vocalist Tim Roth says will be the group’s first conceptual album. The Scattering of Ashes campaign saw the band embark on five North American tours with highlights including an appearance on Gigantour performing alongside MEGADETH and LAMB OF GOD, but it was this past summer’s tour alongside DREAM THEATER that really saw the band reach out to a new audience.

LaBrie je cesto izjavljivao kako je najbolje otpjevao album "Awake" i slazem se s njim.

Vidjecemo sto ce biti, a do eventualnog reuniona neka Savatage ekipa nastavi da izdaje kvalitetne albume kao do sad.

Pominjao sam ih, jer sam ih svrstao u najbolja izdanja za 2006.godinu

Nigdje nije zvanicno potvrdjen reunion, stavise, Jon Oliva ne uliva nadu da ce do toga doci.

Rage ce nastupiti 31.maja na Legacy festivalu!

Hello everyone, We are officially done touring for "The Scattering Of Ashes". We ended up doing 150 shows and being away for close to 200 days of the year! The whole band did a great job, as it's not always easy being away from home for so long, but I think it's important to do it the old-school way and tour as much as we can. No one can say we're a lazy band! Our last tour was with Edguy, Light This City and Echoes Of Eternity. It was a big success for us, so we want to thank those bands again. It was cool bonding with all the bands and 'bro-ing down' with them at 4:20. This touring cycle, we also got to tour with Megadeth, Lamb Of God, Opeth, Arch Enemy, Overkill, Sanctity, The Smash-Up, Destruction, Hirax, Municipal Waste, The Haunted, Dark Tranquillity, Scar Symmetry, Redemption and the mighty Dream Theater! We ended up doing five full U.S. tours on this cycle, and they all were special to us. Playing with Megadeth and Dream Theater each night was a real dream come true! Right now we are home in Canada awaiting the cold chill of winter. It is supposed to snow tomorrow, so I'll be in front of my warm computer composing new riffs for the next album. For the first time ever, we will be doing a concept album. Stu and I are working on the lyrics right now. It's always good to keep moving forward and to try new things, and this is something that we have always wanted to do. We have done two songs already, and it's turning out really cool. We'll keep you posted in the future as things start to progress further.
