    Coming out just before the release of Clayman (Summer, 2000), this expansive rarities collection has absolutely everything. (Except for the track "Strong and Smart", which came later on a Clayman Limited Edition Import, which I bought and added to the end here just out of courtesy.) Now it's everything; you get it all. This is a must-own compilation for every true In Flames fan, who collects this kind of thing.

     

     

     

    The aptly-titled "Artifacts of In Flames" has all the goods. You'll get every rare cover song, from the older Metallica's "Eye of the Beholder" and Iron Maiden's "Murders In the Rue Morgue" to the much newer "World of Promises" and "Strong and Smart", one of which the band's name is No Fun At All, as I recall. (But forget the other, and which is which.)

     

     

     

    More importantly you'll be able to discover the treasures of the Exalted In Flames Demos! Hear the legendary three-song demo that got In Flames signed to a record label back in 1993! (It features "In Flames", "Upon An Oaken Throne" and "Clad in Shadows", what a good f**king start! You'll get even cooler demos, like raw versions of Whoracle track "Episode 666" and Colony's "Scorn", in addition to "The Inborn Lifeless" and "Dead Eternity" demos too.

     

     

     

    Hate those pesky Japanese Imports with the bonus tracks on all your favorite albums? Well, here you'll be directly delivered the 2 missing tracks from the Colony Japanese Import, right here in America. And why not throw in the 2 main songs off the Black-Ash Inheritance Shaped-EP for extra good measure, since they're so excellent. Top that off with a live "X-Mas Song" and a rare "Murders In the Rue Morgue" live in Tokyo. Hell, there's even room for the inclusion of the good old side-project Dimension Zero, featuring guitarist Jesper Stromblad and former guitarist Glenn Ljungstrom.
