Pre neki dan smo spominjali na CoF temi kako bi bilo dobro kada bi se Dimmu vratili na malo stariji stil i ja baš danas naleteh na bend koji predstavlja upravo to - Dimmu kopija (vokal identičan Shagrath-ovom) sa sympho aranžmanima ali stilski muzika ipak više liči na malo stariji Dimmu provučen kroz modernu produkciju, znači baš nešto slično onome što smo priželjkivali. Featured on the Magic & Mayhem Tour will be guest performances by former Amorphis members and unique versions of the songs from the early days.

Former DEICIDE members Eric Hoffmann (guitar) and Brian Hoffman (guitar) have resurrected their pre-DEICIDE band AMON with Jesse "Jecheal" Jolly (PROMETHEAN HORDE, DIABOLIC, SUCCESS WILL WRITE APOCALYPSE ACROSS THE SKY, AFTER DEATH) on vocals/bass and and Mike Petrak (LEPROSY, SUCCESS WILL WRITE APOCALYPSE ACROSS THE SKY) on drums. The Florida-based quartet will enter RedRoom Recorders in Tampa on December 10 with producer Mark Prator to begin recording its new album, entitled "Liar In Wait". The CD will consist of nine songs and will be made available in early 2011 via AMON's own record label. When asked how the musical direction of AMON will be different to that of DEICIDE, Eric Hoffmann told BLABBERMOUTH.NET simply, "The music will speak for itself."

Reformed Dutch death metal outfit ASPHYX recently entered Sonic Assault studio to record two new songs — a cover version of the MAJESTY classic "Bestial Vomit" and the new song "We Doom You To Death". The MAJESTY cover will appear on the upcoming split seven-inch with Dutch death/thrash band THANATOS and will feature lyrics in Dutch dialect while "We Doom You To Death" will be included on a split seven-inch single with Finnish doom/deathsters HOODED MENACE.

Sludge/stoner legends BUZZOV*EN and sludge bastards WEEDEATER have been confirmed for the 2011 edition of the Roadburn festival, which will run for three days, from Thursday, April 14 to Saturday, April 16 at the 013 venue and Midi Theatre in Tilburg, Holland. There will be an additional afterburner event on Sunday, April 17, 2011. Also newly confirmed for the festival are COUGH, YAKUZA, EVOKEN, WHITE HILLS, WOLF PEOPLE, DRAGONTEARS, CARLTON MELTON and LONELY KAMEL.
