  9. DAVE MUSTAINE: 'I Don't Want To Have Any Part Of METALLICA Feud Anymore' Jeb Wright of Classic Rock Revisited recently conducted a short interview with MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow: Classic Rock Revisited: As you watch the finished ["The Arsenal of Megadeth" DVD], what do you feel? You have had some good and some bad in your life, as we all know. Dave: "We all have good and bad things in our life. Because I am a public figure, people tend to take sides. What do I have now in my life that causes me problems? I have the ongoing feud with METALLICA that I don't want to have any part of anymore. I have come to terms with all of that and I would like to consider them friends. I also have a feud with Kerry King of SLAYER. I have no idea what that is even about as I have nothing against Kerry. In my entire life, I have two problems. How many people do you know that only have two problems in their life? The sad thing about it is that it is publicized." Classic Rock Revisited: You do tend to get made into the bad guy... Dave: "It is quite comical. We were all friends, and deep down inside, we are probably all still friends. The problems we have are very controversial and there is always some journalist that wants to stir shit up. I won't be part of it anymore. I respect them and I would like to keep it that way." Classic Rock Revisited: In the media you are often portrayed as an angry person but in interviews you usually come across as a cool dude. Your music is full of angst. I want to know if you used your anger to propel your success? Dave: "Certainly I did. Anger is a terrible motivator for most areas in a human beings life. When it comes to picking up a guitar and channeling your anger through it, angst is much more healthy. You have to remember that there was a time in this society when people like Lenny Bruce went to prison for saying fuck on stage. Now you are not considered any good unless you say fuck!" Classic Rock Revisited: Is your [arm] injury completely healed and if so how far back to 100% are you playing-wise? Dave: "It is 100% fine. Actually, because I had to re-learn how to play I have overcame a lot of crutches that I used to use. I am actually playing better than I was before. Some of the songs I relearned and kind of cheated but now I have gone back and cleaned them up a lot. I am playing with a group of people that I love playing with." Hahaha...predao se...

WOLF's New Album Will Be 'A 45-Minute Heavy Metal Feast' Swedish metallers WOLF will enter Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden in June with producer Fredrik Nordström to begin recording their fourth album, tentatively due before the end of the year via Century Media Records. WOLF's former drummer Daniel "Dale" Bergkvist — who apparently remains on good terms with the band — has posted the following report on the group's web site: "So, I've been hanging around the rehearsal again … This time around the whole album was pretty much done, except for some harmonies and vocal parts. I got to hear five new ones, with Nick's vocals this time. I don't know how many songs will be on the final album but my guess is 9 or 10. The band will save tracks for Japan and special editions. Also, there is the 'old school cassette law' obviously to take into play. As you might know it states that a heavy metal album can't be longer than one side of a 90 minute tape. So expect a 45-minute heavy metal feast. "The guys started off the set by playing 'Black Magic'. An epic old-school masterpiece in true WOLF spirit. A complex track with lots of different parts, tempos and harmonies. But it never got out of control. It just kept pounding on, harder and more metal by each second. WOLF are just great at that, playing complex but making it sound real straightforward and headbanger-friendly. It was followed by a track called 'The Bite'. I think it's a work-title so don't be surprised if you can't find it on the new album. Anyway, 'The Bite' was also wicked good material. The sound in the rehearsal sucks so I'm not going into detail but it had a really cool disco feel to it, kind of like 1978 JUDAS PRIEST or some old HEART song with an evil vibe. Excellent. The other tracks where still nameless, but they were all metal at its best, and they simply blew me away. I have promised the guys not to tell you anything more right now so that's the end of that."
  12. PANTERA: VH1's 'Behind The Music' Special To Premiere In May VH1 has set a May 11 premiere date for the "Behind the Music" special on PANTERA. A photo of ex-PANTERA drummer Vinnie Paul being interviewed by Eric of VH1 for the upcoming program can be viewed at this location. The exact air times will be announced soon. PANTERA's career overview CD, "The Best of Pantera: Far Beyond the Great Southern Cowboys' Vulgar Hits!" (Elektra/Rhino), was certified platinum on January 13, 2006 by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipments in excess of one million copies in the U.S. The 16-song "Vulgar Hits!" CD, originally issued in September 2003, was packaged with a bonus DVD boasting 12 videos, including two live performances. The bulk of the material was culled from the band's six major-label releases, but also included were non-album cuts "Cat Scratch Fever" (a cover of the TED NUGENT song that originally appeared on the Polygram soundtrack to "Detroit Rock City") and the BLACK SABBATH cover "Hole in the Sky", previously available only on import. PANTERA's classic "Vulgar Display of Power" (Elektra) album was certified double-platinum in 2004, signifying shipments of more than 2,000,000 units in the U.S. since its February 25, 1992 release. Rhino Video last week released PANTERA's "3 Vulgar Videos From Hell" — a three-DVD set featuring all the band's videos as well as live footage shot during the Monsters of Rock gig in Moscow. Originally released on DVD in 1999, this version features the same content with improved menus and all-new Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. In fact, it is the first PANTERA release ever in 5.1 Surround Sound. It features: "Cowboys From Hell The Videos", "Vulgar Video", "3 Watch It Go", and "Pantera Live From Monsters of Rock In Moscow". Pa ko ima VH1 gledace...ko nema...pa moze da dodje kod mene
  13. RONNIE JAMES DIO Collaborating With TONY IOMMI On New BLACK SABBATH Material Legendary heavy metal vocalist Ronnie James Dio has flown to the U.K. to write a couple of tracks with BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi for a forthcoming box set, tentatively titled "Black Sabbath – The Dio Years". The box set will reportedly contain all the BLACK SABBATH albums with Ronnie in fully remastered form with these couple of tracks added as a special bonus. No further information is currently available. Dio recorded a total of three studio albums with BLACK SABBATH — 1980's "Heaven and Hell", 1981's "Mob Rules" and 1992's "Dehumanizer" — in addition to appearing on the classic live album "Live Evil" in 1983. As previously reported, Eagle Rock Entertainment has set an April 18 North American release date for DIO's "Holy Diver Live" CD (one day earlier internationally). Captured live in 2005 in front of a sold-out London crowd, "Holy Diver Live" features the classic "Holy Diver" album in its entirety, from start to finish, recorded live for the very first time. It also includes, among others, "Heaven & Hell", "Sign of the Southern Cross" and "Mob Rules" from vocalist Ronnie James Dio's BLACK SABBATH days, "Tarot Woman", "Man on the Silver Mountain" and "Long Live Rock 'N' Roll" from the RAINBOW era and "We Rock" from his solo career. DIO's follow-up to 2004's "Master of the Moon" is expected before the end of the year. Znaci ovo ce da bude mnogo dobro!!!
