Novi album u aprilu. Ok, this is part of the interview Ed gave to a brazilian ISP wich is sponsoring the shows in Brazil. Ukratko: ed to finish vocals on most of the songs while in south america, he's taking his recording gear with him - the band will finish album in january - "very agressive" - no new pj songs to be played before the album is released - album release in april - no album title yet, joked about calling it 'superunowned'

This is from "Ultimate Guitar.com": Seattle rockers Pearl Jam have finished recording their currently untitled new album. They completed the extensive recording process just last week in Seattle. Guitarist Stone Gossard believes that the unusually long recording effort will be understood when the public hears the album. "This is the best music, as a collective, that we have written... probably ever", says Gossard. He says that "while we have experimented and extended ourselves once again, the simplicity and edge of our writing this time can be heard - these songs are all ones we are very proud of". While a lot of the album is "as heavy and bone-crunching as our earlier material", Gossard is most proud of the melodic songs such as "Dawn" - written over 4 months by co-guitarist Mike McCready - and the Who-like "Alarms Of Nautical", by Gossard himself. "We are always expected to have a heavy tilt in our songs, and we have done that here and love doing that. But this album feels more than a bunch of rock songs like our last couple... and not to demean those... but this was a massive ride for us, a big jump, and we hope it can be heard". The first song, "To Our Home", is a quiet song by lead singer Eddie Vedder, unmistakeably about his new baby girl. "Yeah we let Ed indulge on that one a bit there, but it is a fantastic, pretty track to start off. After that we blow the amps (laughs)". The track listing is as follows: 01. To Our Home (Vedder) 02. Marker (Gossard/Vedder) 03. Dawn (McCready) 04. Crapshoot Rapture (Gossard/McCready/Ament) 05. Worldwide Suicide (Gossard/McCready) 06. Severed Hand (Vedder) 07. Echoes (Vedder/Gossard/McCready/Ament/Cameron) 08. Cold Concession (Cameron) 09. Alarms Of Nautical (Gossard) 10. The Streets (Vedder) 11. Of The Earth (Vedder/Gossard/McCready/Ament/Cameron) The first single (to be released in November) will be "Echoes" with the non-album B-Sides "Thank You" and "I Believe In Miracles Live 9/1/05". The band, currently on tour in Canada, will visit Latin America in November before releasing the album in early December. Although no certain dates have been made, manager Kelly Curtis has confirmed a possible 2006 tour of Australia and New Zealand, followed by a full-scale visit to Europe.

Jucerasnja koncert je izgleda po setlisti i kritikama bio legendaran, svirali su hard to imagine, posle dugo,dugo...... A sto se tice pogleda, mislim da nisam video lepse mesto za koncert. show from The Gorge in George, WA: Acoustic Set: I Believe In Miracles, Small Town, Off He Goes, Lowlight, Man of the Hour, I Am Mine, Crazy Mary, Black, Hard to Imagine Electric Set: Given to Fly, Last Exit, Save You, Do The Evolution, Alone, Sad, Even Flow, Not For You/Jam, Corduroy, Dissident, MFC, Undone, Daughter, In My Tree, State of Love and Trust, Alive, Porch Encore 1: Love Boat Captain, Insignificance, Better Man, Rearviewmirror Encore 2: I Won't Back Down, Last Kiss, Crown of Thorns, Blood, Yellow Ledbetter, Baba O'Riley Notes: Undone makes its live debut. Pearl Jam in top form at the Gorge By TRAVIS HAY SPECIAL TO THE POST-INTELLIGENCER It was billed as "an evening with Pearl Jam" and what an evening it was. Eddie Vedder and the rest of Pearl Jam delivered their best local concert of the last five years while returning to the form of the group's glory days. The band played as if it was 1992 all over again, attempting to regain the brilliance that it never really lost. It's safe to say the cliche about wine getting better with age can now be applied to Pearl Jam. Their first Gorge show in 12 years, the night was divided into two portions, with the first part of the show performed mostly acoustic. "Given to Fly" and "Save You" started the plugged-in portion, but "Do The Evolution," really kicked things into full gear. Vedder's hair whirled through the air as he shouted "It's evolution baby!" During "Even Flow," Mike McCready played a solo behind his head while twisting and contorting his wiry frame as if he were feeling the power of rock surge through his body. Later, the band tore into the fierce trio of "State of Love and Trust." "Alive," and "Porch." Ever mindful of where he was performing, Vedder encouraged the crowd to chant, "Hello Tom. Come out, Tom" several times for rock legend Tom Petty, who performed at the venue the next night. While Petty didn't make an appearance he was there in spirit when Vedder dedicated "Won't Back Down," to Bush-protestor Cindy Sheehan. Although Pearl Jam has reportedly practiced and recorded new songs, no new material was performed. That didn't mean there weren't surprises in the 36-song set. The band played "Crown of Thorns," "Sad" and "Undone," a song Vedder said had never been performed live. Other staples like "Daughter," "Dissident," "MFC," "Corduroy" and "Black" rounded out the set. Vedder also announced part of the concert's profits would go to hurricane relief in New Orleans. The exhilarating 3 hour and 30 minute performance, which was a warm-up show for Pearl Jam's Canadian tour, is available for download via the group's Web site for $9.99 as a part of Pearl Jam's new digital bootleg program. If the fervor and intensity of Thursday's show is any indication, Canadians won't know what hit them. Even Tom Petty would have a difficult time besting a vintage bottle of 1992 Pearl Jam.

USA Today's Whitney Matheson, who writes about popular culture in her "Pop Candy" article, asked her readers the question of who is the greatest American rock band ever. And the greatest American rock band ever is ... I knew last week's column would spark heated debate among music aficionados, but I didn't realize just how intense it would get until the e-mail started pouring in — more e-mail, in fact, than I've received about any other column. And though the results were close, there could only be one winner. So, without further ado, I present your top pick for the greatest American rock band of all time: PEARL JAM. Yes, the Seattle rockers outranked powerhouses such as Van Halen (No. 3), The Doors (No. 9) and Nirvana, which landed at No. 18. At first, I was shocked by the choice (to be honest, I fully expected Aerosmith to win). But the more e-mail I read, the more it began to make sense. Why is Pearl Jam the greatest? Here's what you said: •They've stayed true to themselves. "Instead of selling out with videos and constant press coverage, they pulled back at their height, and focused on the music," wrote Willie McNabb in El Dorado, Ark. "They belong up there with Neil Young, Zeppelin and The Beatles because they never compromised their integrity, which is really all any of us have." •The music rocks. From Atlanta reader Tom Baker: "They've continually reshaped their sound, album after album, and are still making great, vital music 12+ years into their career. What else could you want?" •Their records sell ... "... because they're good, not because they've been hyped to death by the media," McNabb added. •There have been scores of imitators. "How many Pearl Jam/Eddie Vedder knockoffs have invaded rock radio since Ten?" asked Scott Jordan, another Atlanta fan. •Their concerts are first-rate — and affordable. Jake Mohlman from Barrington, R.I., praised the band for keeping ticket prices low. "It's unique in an era when most artists gouge their fans to the limit," he wrote. "Likewise, releasing their shows on low-cost bootlegs brings a new dimension to seeing one of their shows." 2. Aerosmith 3. Van Halen 4. The Eagles 5. Journey. 6. Guns N' Roses. 7. The Grateful Dead. 8. Queensryche 9. The Doors. 10. R.E.M. 11. The Allman Brothers Band and Fleetwood Mac (tie). 12. Metallica. 13. KISS. 14. The Ramones 15. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and Creedence Clearwater Revival (tie). 16. Dave Matthews Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd (tie). 17. The Beach Boys. 18. Nirvana. 19. The Replacements. 20. Bon Jovi.

Ako si u mogucnosti da doprineses njihovom dolasku -daj sve od sebe, jer u sustini oni dolaze gde god ih pozovu i nevazno im je pred koliko ljudi sviraju, cak vise gotive manje svirke.

From Andy Savage in the Morning on 96.5 K-ROCK: "Thanks to Mike McCready of Pearl Jam for coming in this morning to chat about Pearl Jam and other fun stuff. Pearl Jam are just about done with a new record, which will be out on “J” Records (a new record label started by the legendary Clive Davis). When asked what the overall feel of their new stuff sounds like, Mike says that he is very excited by it & it is very “rocking.” Mike said that he has played it for some of his buds, and they compare it to the sound of their second CD “Versus.” Mike is doing a benefit show this Friday at the Showbox with his UFO cover band:"

Info o novom albumu: from rollingstone.com Pearl Jam Find Their Edge Rockers wrapping new album, readying tour Pearl Jam are almost finished with their follow-up to 2002's Riot Act. The band plans to spend the next three weeks in the studio recording vocals and mixing. If all goes according to plan, the yet-to-be-titled disc could be released as early as May. "There's a lot more up-tempo stuff," says drummer Matt Cameron. "It's a lot more rockin' than our last one." Song titles like "Severed Hand," "Worldwide Suicide" and "2x4" seem to reflect that harder edge. Though the track listing has not been finalized, other candidates include "Marker" and "Cold Concession." Cameron, who teamed with guitarist Mike McCready on the track "Unemployable," characterizes the sessions as more collaborative. "We reworked everything together in the studio," he says. "It's a really healthy environment -- everyone really just wants to dig in and make the songs as good as they can be." Pearl Jam hope to support the new record with a summer tour.
