WASTING LIFE

Answer me this: “Will you remember this day fifty years from now?”

Answer me this: “Are you gonna live this life missing what’s important?”

Thoughts, like the pouring rain that’s gently falling

seem to vanish in smoke just by touching my mind

Judgement clouded, disillusioned, focused on the trivial

Fear of knowledge, lust for mediocrity

On the brink of sanity I await your calling

Pleasures of simplicity have been left behind

Trapped in this complexity, depraved by fictional

Embroiled in the web of duplicity

Waiting for sunrise of lies

Light killed the stars in my eyes
