STRATOVARIUS' German drummer Jörg Michael, who was was recently diagnosed with cancer and had his entire thyroid removed, has issued the following update: "I hope this message finds everybody well and everybody is in an easy-peasy Christmas mood already. "The first leg of the European tour with HELLOWEEN is over — time to have a few words with you. "First of all, let's not forget the brilliant emergency rescue action and playing of Alex [Landenburg; AT VANCE, ANNIHILATOR, MEKONG DELTA]. Thanks again for all what you did for the fans, the band and also for me. "Surely I hate the idea of somebody is sitting on 'my chair,' but this special action needed some special treatment and I am proud and happy that it was you, Alex. Thanks again; we'll get together for a real drink, not like these other Scandinavian pussies in the band :-) "I was overwhelmed by all the wishes, tons of emails and text messages I received from all over the world wishing me a speedy recovery. Thank you so much for supporting me, and it made me feel very strong when fighting these bastards inside of me. "I have some good news to tell you and believe me — I really enjoy to tell the world: "The surgery was done about six weeks ago and the first therapy is done as well. All looks good so far and as Jens [Johansson, STRATOVARIUS keyboardist] told me before: 'Do not worry, Jörg, nothing survives in your body after all what you did to it!' "Finally he was right, there are only small bits and bobs left — I will fight those with another therapy in about four months' time. "I think I have been very lucky that it was discovered by one of my friends in a very early state. Very good that my friend decided to become a doctor; he was very lousy when he tried playing the guitar. "Besides preparing myself for Christmas, I am currently practicing the drums to be ready and kickin' again when the tour continues in the New Year. I will be back. Aj' sad još ispričaj i za onu orgiju sa Lu-om (oko koje se on sad pravi lud) od pre dve nedelje i sve si im rekao.

Treba i ono Grobovo objašnjenje zašto Impaled Nazarene "ne valja" i onu Gojkovu kontemplaciju o gej muzici, to mi pada na pamet. Blagoje će, verujem, da se pobrine za Jovanov deo.

S obzirom na to da tekstovi za taj album nikada nisu ni objavljeni, jedina nada ti je da ih neko skine na sluh.

Koliko me volite, ne vadite me iz usta. (no hetero) E, ovako: vaistinu nije loša ova Grobova ideja da se pinuje nekoliko naj-troo postova u istoriji ovog podforuma, tj. okačiću ih na "Ravendark", na poslednju stranu, da stoje kao manifest ove sobe, da mogu fino da se quote-uju kad ustreba. Stoga aj' bacite ovde nekoliko predloga, ali nemojte mnogo nego samo one najiskrenije, od kojih se i server zatresao.

Da, i tačno ćemo mi koji inače pišemo o muzici i to nam je u neku ruku posao da slušamo tako malo albuma. Ja za jedan broj magazina uradim po 40-tak recenzija u proseku i to su većinski diskovi za koje dobijam promo materijal, odnosno MORAM da ih ispoštujem i recenziram. I nije to nikakva preterana brojka, uzmi koji hoćeš muzički magazin i vidi koliko recenzija u proseku uradi jedan novinar. Tako to jednostavno ide, i moraš se navežbati da što brže i lakše prepoznaš kvalitet, inače i nisi za ovog posla. A i mislim da bih umro od dosade kad bih slušao tako malo bendova, ne mogu ja to.

NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) legends TYGERS OF PAN TANG will enter the studio in January to record a special EP to celebrate 30 years since the release of their iconic album "Spellbound". Entitled "The Spellbound Sessions", the effort will include six songs from the original album re-recorded by the current TYGERS lineup: 01. Hellbound 02. Don't Stop By 03. Tyger Bay 04. Gangland 05. Take It 06. Mirror 2010 saw TYGERS OF PAN TANG record "The Wildcat Sessions" EP and the feedback was fantastic so the band wanted to continue with this concept. The group has always respected its past releases which form the majority of the live show set, so it is a fitting tribute. "The Spellbound Sessions" should be available from the TYGERS OF PAN TANG webshop from early February. The CD will be priced the same as "The Wildcat Sessions" — £5.00 plus postage and handling. Former DIMMU BORGIR bassist/clean vocalist I.C.S. Vortex (real name: Simen Hestnæs) has completed work on his debut solo album. Entitled "Storm Seeker", it contains 11 tracks and 45 minutes of "groovy hooks and signature clean vocals," according to the musician. "Brewed in a dirty metal pot, ingrediens included are stoner rock mashed with black metal, '70s prog-spiked pagan and alternative roots fried Norwegian style. Some of the song titles are 'Skoal!', 'Dogsmacked', 'Oil in Water' and 'Odin's Tree'." He added, "It's been a year of sporadic work at Toproom Studio with engineer Børge Finstad. My good old teammate from BORKNAGAR, Asgeir Mickelson (SARKE, SPIRAL ARCHITECT), handles the drums, and Terje 'Cyrus' Andersen (SUSPERIA, DIMMU BORGIR) added some solos. Mix was done by Børge, Asgeir and me. A record deal is in the works and we're looking at a release in good time before summer 2011. "The solo project has pretty much evolved into a band, and on future live appearances the recording lineup will be joined by Jens F. Ryland (BORKNAGAR) on guitar and Steinar Gundersen (SPIRAL ARCHITECT, SARKE) on bass."

@morbid: Ahahahaha, prebrutalno! Mogao bih nekad da stavim tako nekoliko priceless trenutaka u "Ravendark", tek da ih otrgnem od zaborava a tamo je ionako zaključano pa će uvek biti pri ruci. Videću.

Videh i taj oficijelni, kačili su ga na fejs oni, ali ovaj live mi je neprevaziđen. Svirka, maske, čak i ona 8-žičana gitara nekako dodaje bizarnosti, čini mi se.
