Richmond, Virginia metallers LAMB OF GOD have entered the studio with producer Josh Wilbur to begin recording their new album for a tentative late 2011 release. He states, "If at first you don't hear anything, the audio is tied into the soundboard so you'll only have audio when I'm playing or we are talking."

Nemam pojma gde ću sa ovim a zanimljiva je vest pa 'ajde (ionako ceo forum čita ono što se piše po ovom podforumu, koliko vidim): Finnish record label Spinefarm Records will celebrate its 20th anniversary by organizing a "summer camp" in July where members of various bands signed to the company — including those from SHINING, MOONSORROW, SWALLOW THE SUN, FINNTROLL, MEDEA and ENSIFERUM — will collaborate with each other in creating and recording new songs. The resulting album, tentatively titled "Spinefarm Allstars", will be released before the end of the year.

Nevezano za to, ja ne vidim po čemu je Insomnium toliko dobar da nadjebe olmajti instituciju, čak i ako je ista izdala album sa pola snage. Čak štaviše, Insomnium meni zvuči kao najprosečniji melodeath ikada. Dobar, istina, ali duboko u proseku.

OPETH guitarist/vocalist Mikael Åkerfeldt has recorded ten hour-long shows for the Swedish national radio (Sveriges Radio). The first program was broadcasted on Sunday, June 19 and will be followed by another episode each Sunday at 11 p.m. for the coming 10 weeks. The show is based on Mikael's love for obscure vinyl records, and he is playing actual vinyl on the show, with crackle and all. The already aired shows are also available as streamed audio at this location. (Note: The show is recorded in Swedish.)

Finnish melodic death metallers INSOMNIUM have set "One For Sorrow" as the title of their new album, due in October via Century Media Records. The CD was recorded in Gothenburg, Sweden with sound engineer Daniel Antonsson (also bassist in DARK TRANQUILLITY and guitarist in DIMENSION ZERO) and at Fantom studios in Tempere, Finland, where the album is also currently being mixed by Samu Oittisen.

Norway's GORGOROTH and Poland's VADER will join forces for "The Sign Of Hell Tour 2011". The European trek, which will include over 45 shows, will kick off at the end of October and conclude right before Christmas. According to a statement posted on the web site of Polish concert promoter and management company Massive Music, "such a long and immense tour hasn't been seen in Europe so far — all fans of GORGOROTH and VADER should start preparing for a magnificent feast! It is a completely one-off occasion as both bands will promote their newest albums and they've already announced new concert sets. GORGOROTH will play some of their material from 'Under The Sign Of Hell' released by Regain Records and VADER will present the new songs from 'Welcome To The Morbid Reich' released by Nuclear Blast.
