Napokon preslusah i Soulburn. Odlican album, spor death metal, bas bas dobar.

e, bas, vala. To je prava rec za opisivanje tog albuma. Tako mi je zvucao i ovaj poslednji Pentacle, bas tezak.

Ovaj bend mi se od deatha ponajvise vrteo u poslednje vreme u winampa i mobilnoga posle Arghoslenta. Ja ne znam sta ti Holandjani piju pa imaju ovol'ko dobrog thrasha i deatha.

 

Od Pentakla imam, pa maltene sve, fali mi "Exalted Journey" EP i split sa Repugnant (majka od benda, steta sto vishe ne rade). U principu svidja mi all the materijal koji chuh, extra su im "Fifth Moon" i "Ancient Death" ep-i, nesto tvrdji zvuk nego na albumima. A "...Rides The Moonstorm" mi ostavi neshto jachi utisak od "Black Cross". Pre svega mi se svidja zvuk RTMa, chvrst, sve se jasno i dobro chuje, medjutim sam zvuk nije dovoljan, treba ubaciti tu i rifova dobrih, a ima ih za izvoz. Rides/Veil je stvarno ubica kako otvaraju album, takodje mi se Pentagram obrada mlogo svidja, "For I Am Chaos"...extra album stvarno samo tako. Sa druge strane "Under The Black Cross", za razliku od Ridesa koji mi se svideo odma', mi je bio slabiji na prvo slushanje, though iz slushanja u slushanje mi je better and better... "Fiery Jaws" i "A Hail Of Steel" mi se tu izdvajaju. Rekoh da mi je extra zvuk na Moonstorm, tako da mozda ima veze zasto mi ovaj nije na prvo slushanje bash legao. Gitare su mi nekako previshe u pozadini, i vokal preko svega. Mislim, lik ima do jaja growl, ali mi se nekako, mozda tripam, dzitre "kriju" ispod bubnja i vokala previshe...

 

Vec 2 godine nishta ne izbacishe, cenim da bi mogli nesto skoro da odrade : )

Pazi, i ja sam imao istu situaciju sa Black cross, ali sto sam ga vise slusao bio mi je sve jaci, sad mi je rame uz rame sa prvim.

To sto nemas ti, nemam ni ja, pa ko prvi nabavi...

Inace, cujem neke glasine da se Pentacle na tour sa Desaster, sto im i nije prvi put.

 

Pentacle&Desaster! Drugari sa Splita. Meni se inache gleda Desaster opet, Pentacle ne bih odbio da gledam as well, posebno ne nakon ovoga shto chuh, ali postoji samo nada da ce se to videti, heh..

Last weekends, we have been recording and mixing five new tracks at A.M. Studios, Gouda, The Netherlands for these upcoming releases:

 

- a double 7" w/ gatefold cover w/ Eternal Solstice on Dark Descent Records (featuring two new tracks)

- a split 7" w/ Mortem on Iron Pegasus Records (featuring one new track)

- a split 12" w/ Sadistic Intent 12" on Iron Pegasus Records (featuring two new tracks)

 

We are working together with producer André van der Ree. An old friend of ours as he was and still is the drummer of Eternal Solstice, a band we shared many stages with back in the 90's. The recordings went smoothly without any hick ups. There is still some mixing and mastering to be done, but the material is progressing in the right direction. About the songs themselves, expect the expected: Pentacle styled Ancient Death Metal. Nothing more, nothing less.

 

Overall, we are very glad to have the opportunity to work together with these amazing Death Metal acts. We all have the same musical back ground, we know the members on a personal level, we shared many stages together and most important, there's a big respect for each other. This is an amazing set up of bands.

 

Manuel Tinnemans is reponsible for the artwork of these releases (expect for Mortem). The Pentacle artwork is a tripich: the parts will be used for the seperate releases each, yet all three combined they create the actual drawing in one piece. The split 12" with Sadistic Intent will include a poster with the artwork as a whole.

 

About the release date(s), nothing is set for a full 100% yet, but both bands and labels are working hard to release the items asap possible.

The album is called “Spectre of the Eight Ropes” and will be released through Iron Pegasus Records early fall this year. The vinyl version will contain eight new tracks, while the CD will feature a bonus track.
