Nego, Imperious Rex, predgrupa, nam poslali njihov album, evo recenzije čisto da znate šta vas čeka, da malo promovišem bend, fini su. IMPERIOUS REX Speed Demon Self Released CD Imperious Rex sent us the copy of their second album in order to promote their name around here since they are on tour with Teutonic gods Destruction, with whom they will play in Belgrade on May the 4th. Quite a formidable move, so let’s see with what are we dealing here, shall we? These guys from L.A. are playing straight ahead no-bullshit Thrash Metal (you could have guessed it since they are opening for those Germans...). „Speed Demon“ is only 23 minutes long so there are no time for taking the prisoners here – Imperious Rex are killing them along the way! Tempo is very fast and the whole material is headbangable to the max, Rex is indeed aggressive band but not to the point of being overly primitive. You can find tempo changes and nice arrangement twists but that is done in order to keep everything interesting and the steam is not lost in that process. That is basically how is should be done – fuck those Thrash albums that last long! I could compare them to their tour mates (and other German hordes) since they share the same spirit, but you can also drop the names like Slayer (who aren’t inspired by them anyway?) or speed merchants such as Razor and Exciter. Lyrics are also standard Thrash affair with themes about the war, madness and killing so nothing new on that department. Basically, Imperious Rex are not reinventing the wheel but when they are playing from the heart it naturally shows in their craft and the result is easily appealing to every average banger out there. „Speed Demon“ was recorded by the band members, so the production carries the raw garage feeling, maybe someone will be bothered by that fact but the debuts from the eighties did not sound that much better, right? Unfortunately, I am forced to miss out the gig due to some obligations but I have one advice for our metal gang – instead of drinking beer or chatting with some fat chicks in front of the venue, come on in earlier and check out the Imperious Rex’ gig, judging from this CD they will easily give you some worthwhile time and pain in the neck. "The Antichrist" Standardno izdanje sa 1 hidden track (mislim da je Curse The Gods,nisam siguran). CD je u nekom 'slip glover' cudu.To je kao neki kartonski omot za CD koji svetli u mraku,tako da se onda vidi ona varijanta sa Cracked Brain-a i iznad logo Destruction-a (sve to svetli u mraku ).Ima jos i neke minijaturne lobanje koje svetle sa strane tog 'omota' CD je NOV.Ne znam tacno sta znaci ono "mint stanje" sto svi spominju,al' kapiram da je to to Cena je 850 din.
