Dobar album, ali mnogo sam vise ocekivao, tj. ocekivao sam da me spuca u glavu. Amorphis mi je jedan od omiljenih bendova, zato sam i imao visoka ocekivanja. Ima tu i solidnih hitova, ali nije mi u rangu prethodnih albuma.

je l' to neka zajebancija ili su ozbiljno nazvali pesmu "New Song"? Mada ni ostale 3 ne zvuče mnogo maštovitije

To je neki japanski bonus. Moguce je da je neka greska i da se drugacije zove.

 

Jbt, kako me nervira ovo "cruel world" još od prvog momenta kad sam čuo pjesmu, pa zar od svih mogućih riječi moraš upotrebiti tu frazetinu iz osnovnoškolskih sastava...

eh, očekivao sam bar za ovu da urade neki fin spot, ali kurčina. jebao ih više Nuclear Blast i lyric spotovi

Нисам хтео да журим са оцењивањем албума, па сам сачекао да га добро провртим. Мада, то и није било потребно, јер се одмах видело да је у питању сјајно издање. У неким моментима ме доста подсећа на Скајфорџер, а провуку се и неки тренуци старијих радова. Мени је и прошли био супер, а овај је за једно три класе бољи. Shades of Gray, The Wanderer, Nightbird's Song... све одличне. Онај бонус Dead Man's Dream ми можда и најбоља.

Hi,

July 12th marked the 20th anniversary of the release of the by far most significant album of our career: "Tales From The Thousand Lakes".

 

The years have flown by, and it feels great to notice that the tooth of time has not diminished the value of the album, nor the popularity of its songs when performed live. Black Winter Day, The Castaway, Into Hiding and In The Beginning are still part of almost every Amorphis gig. Although we have played these songs hundreds of times, it is still as exciting as ever to see the joy in people’s faces and the sheer emotion evoked by, for example, the piano intro of Black Winter Day.

When Tomi Joutsen joined the band, we reviewed the setlist in a new (old) light. It was perfectly clear that we would include more tracks from "Tales" – without forgetting our debut "The Karelian Isthmus", of course.

At that point we understood how much TFTTL meant to people. Most of us have feelings about the 1990s that are brought back to mind by the songs from "Tales", so we are certainly talking about nostalgia here. To honor the two-decade history of the album, we will embark on the Tales From The Thousand Lakes 20th Anniversary Tour. The shows of this tour will feature the TFTTL album in its entirety as well as some rarely performed Amorphis songs. Don your wigs and start the pit!
