Dobro su i izdržali toliko dugo sa njim, s obzirom da su njih trojica profiji koji igraju po pravilima muzičke industrije i žele da bend potraje, dok je Brent bio, khm, free spirit. Potvrđeno je samo da je njegov doprinos na kreativnom vrhuncu benda na Blood Mountain i Crack the Skye bio ogroman, možda i presudan, i da je to poslednji album na kome su bili grupa prijatelja dok su od The Hunter na ovamo postali klasične kolege. Šteta što nikad ponovo nećemo čuti te pesme sa Brentovim pevanjem, posebno sa Crack the Skye gde je ostavio "srce na terenu" i kao da je najavio ono što će se kasnije desiti: Spiraling up through the crack in the sky Leaving material world behind
