Dakle: Sweden's PAIN OF SALVATION has been confirmed to join the national Swedish competition for the Eurovision Song Contest, Melodifestivalen. The contest's first round will be taking place in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden on February 6, 2010 and will be broadcasted live by national TV station SVT. PAIN OF SALVATION will be appear in the contest with its song "Road Salt". Commented PAIN OF SALVATION frontman Daniel Gildenlöw: "For those who don't know what Melodifestivalen is, it is the biggest thing in the Swedish music industry. A huge machinery built to single out the Swedish contender for the Eurovision Song Contest. Out of thousands and thousands of sent in songs, 30 are selected by a jury to participate in this national contest, viewed by half the population when it's on TV. It's a big thing, to say the least!"

Swedish death metallers NOMINON will release their fourth album, "Monumentomb", on March 23 via Deathgasm Records. The CD was recorded at Necromorbus Studio (WATAIN, NOMINON, AVERSE SEFIRA, FUNERAL MIST, NEX, ONDSKAPT, MORK GRYNING, ADORIOR) in Alvik, Sweden and was mixed with producer Tore Stjerna. The group states, "We managed to record eleven songs and it all sounds really powerful and heavy, yet fast and with a certain raw edge, and at last it's definitely the most varied material so far from NOMINON." In other news, NOMINON has announced the addition of bassist Martin Petersson from Gothenburg to the group's ranks. NOMINON recently launched a vocalist search following the departure of Daniel Garptoft (who was in the band for five years). The band is seeking someone who "shares [its] vision of delivering disgusting death metal full of energy and hatred to all the inhabitants of the underground." The recording of the BLOOD REVOLT album is finally happening. Jaws will definitely drop, believe me. Mostly the concept has been met with incredulous disbelief from underground people. More mainstream, and I use this term very loosely, you could read 'open-minded,' PRIMORDIAL fans have found the idea extremely interesting, it's been the 'not even born when the BLASPHEMY demo was out' underground brigade who seem to be unable to get their small minds around the idea that REVENGE/AXIS OF ADVANCE and PRIMORDIAL are not as far apart as they seem and a musical collaboration makes perfect sense. Taj neki rad, fin je album ali nije u rangu "Hellbilly 1" definitivno. "What?" ostaje najzaraznije sranje koje cuh u dugo vremena i generalno, Robu mnogo bolje idu malo "zustrije" stvari, sa vise intenziteta i brzim tempom - bilo bi fino da se malo vise posveti tome.
