The MELVINS return with a 13-track covers album titled "Everybody Loves Sausages" on April 30 via Ipecac Recordings. "This record will give people a peak into the kind of things that influence us musically," explains Buzz Osborne. "We REALLY like all of these songs along with the bands who actually wrote this stuff because first and foremost we are HUGE music fans." In a decidedly MELVINS approach to a covers album, the band not only selected a unique assortment of songs to cover, ranging from ROXY MUSIC's "In Every Dream Home A Heartache" to QUEEN's "Best Friend", they also enlisted several friends to take part, including MUDHONEY's Mark Arm joining them for THE SCIENTISTS' "Set It On Fire" and NEUROSIS' Scott Kelly pitching in on a cover of VENOM's "Warhead". While the release is billed as a proper MELVINS album (featuring the lineup of Osborne, Dale Crover, Jared Warren and Coady Willis), there are a handful of songs recorded as the MELVINS LITE incarnation of the band (Osborne, Crover and Trevor Dunn): "Female Trouble" (Divine a.k.a. Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz has told Terrorizer he’s in the throws of starting a death metal side project with Cannibal Corpse frontman George Corpsegrinder Fisher and former Black Dahlia Murder drummer Shannon Lucas. He told us: “It’s a death metal side project – no name yet – we’re still getting the songs together. We have about eight tunes as of right now, [it’s] just very old school fast and grindy. We’ve already started talking to Metal Blade and I’m ready to go. I want to get this thing up and running; it’s literally just trying to find time. Killswitch is going to be keeping me busy until September, and George is into doing it, it’s just trying to find time in his busy schedule, it seems they [Cannibal] are always on tour!”

With a sad heart we have to announce that another major chapter in the history of Negură Bunget has ended. Long time member Inia Dinia is no longer part of the band. It was her decision alone to leave Negură Bunget in pursuit of other musical and personal paths and we can't but respect her choice. We thank her for everything she put in the band over the years and hope her musical path will only grow further in the future. In related context singer Chakravartin is also no longer member of Negură Bunget. Different personal and musical reasons untangled our paths. We wish his good luck as well on their future endeavors! Even more changes within the band are likely to occur as well in the near future. As things happened a bit unexpected our plans for the immediate future, namely an EP as presentation of the new album, and a Southern European tour in April/May, are hanging in the air for the moment. We will make a decision about everything in the following days. This is definitely a hard moment for what remains of the band, but what does not kill you only makes you stronger. I hope we'll find within ourselves the wisdom to shape the right path for the future of Negură Bunget.
