Annihilator
Canadian thrashers ANNIHILATOR are currently on the road in Europe with TRIVIUM, GOJIRA and SANCTITY. The group's guitarist Jeff Waters has checked in with the following update: "Great crowds and a lot of metal. The TRIVIUM guys have been extremely cool to us and the other bands... Nice guys and they really like good metal music. Very pro band live, too. GOJIRA are one of the tightest-playing bands around and SANCTITY are really bringing on the TESTAMENT/thrash vibe to the tour. Corey (Beaulieu, TRIVIUM guitarist) has been coming up onstage with us every nite to jam 'King of The Kill' and we seem to have everyone singing this 'Alison Hell' tune! Hehe! Pretty cool for us to be playing in front of the U.K. crowds... Most are in their teens and most have not heard of ANNIHILATOR. Of course we have our old faithful ANNIHILATOR following who are really kickin a*s out there, but it is quite something to see the younger kids try to figure out what we are playing! "I fractured my ankle yesterday; broke a chunk of bone clean off. Doctors said to go home/tour done for me but you know that won't stop me. Did the show last nite in Wolverhampton, hobbling around with a Chuck Berry/Angus-wannabe vibe, but made it through! A week earlier, a few of the TRIVIUM dudes and the SANCTITY singer hit the same venue on our day off to see W.A.S.P. What a killer show and more importantly, their new CD is being blasted daily on every tour bus and every dressing room! It is a killer CD. "Back to ANNIHILATOR. Took a few gigs for us all to lock in with each other, playing-wise, but we are in the groove now and having a blast. As we are a guest on the tour, our set time is obviously pretty brief but that just gives us more energy to play our brand of metal. Looking forward to touring the rest of Europe in a few days... a few nites left at the Hammersmith Apollo in London and then back to our metal stomping grounds in the rest of Europe! "New CD is kickin butt... some of the guests on the CD are fling in or some of the shows to jam a tune with us. I think Alexi (Laiho) is coming out for a shred-fest as well as Jesper (Strömblad) and others... Just heard from tour our tour agent in Europe/U.K. that we will be doing Aussie/Korea/Japan and that there have been talks with four killer bands who want to bring us out as support... sounds like that is what we will spend 2007 doing, supporting 'bigger' bands, hitting new markets/fan-bases and then coming back in 2008 with our own tours. Sounds good to me. I am very grateful to still have such a great following of ANNIHILATOR .. you all ROCK." hm..ponasa se k'o da svira u nekom novijem thrash metal bendu a ne bendu koji ga fura preko 2 decenije.. ++ Eve vam alison iz Dublina..bato kako Annihilator dobro zvuci uzivo! Chak je i Padden podobar..mnogo bolje peva alisu nego ranije...josh je i publika extra, pomislio bi chovek da ovo Anni-koncert..al jok..jao sramote..

Mercyful Fate
Former MERCYFUL FATE drummer Kim Ruzz has sent the following message to BLABBERMOUTH.NET: "A few words from depths of Hamlets, Denmark. "Kim Ruzz will in a moment appear in front of you in the form of written words. So if you are a true MERCYFUL FATE fan be seated and enjoy. Hello there great to be back in the circus again. If not for reunion or similar then just for the opportunety to say or write out loud to all our fans, THANKS for all your support — it means so much. And not just as a musician. As I see it, no fans, no recordings, no touring, no fun, [and] for that matter no band. So piss on arrogant attitudes. "About reunion, its hard to tell. As I said before, lots of things have to go the right way. For one thing, the economy has to be settled since we all got a good deal of obligations; I mean, kids, wives, houses 'n' stuff — you know, middle-age men things. But who knows, the train is set in motion and there's a hole. "Lot of hard work to be done. Are you up to it? We are!" ja vec nazirem reunion za sledecu godinu...prvo King objavi "Daj.." i odradi turneju i onda...

Kreator
mlogo dobar intervju sa Miletom: http://www.imhotep.fi/en/index.php?option=...135&lang=en izdvojio bih: The four albums "Renewal", "Cause For Conflict", "Outcast" and "Endorama" is to me very good albums, maybe even brave albums, if you know what I mean. You were trying different things… "I think those albums were necessary for us as individual musicians. The thing is we never had time to grow up as musicians. Most musicians start recording albums when they are in their 20s. We started as teenagers. We never had the time to try different things. We started as one of the most extreme bands, and we had to be the most extreme band for the rest of our lives, because that is how people got to know us. Of course it causes some confusion in the soul of an artist, because you want to express yourself at different levels. It leads to a one way street because there is only so much you can do as an extreme band. Then you start exploring other forms of music, and you want to do things a little differently and your audience is like 'Fuck off!' (laughs) 'It is not KREATOR anymore.' Yeah, but it is the same people, and it is just an album that we wanted to do, what is wrong with this? But then again, I know there is always a certain expectation when it comes to band names. When I was a kid I was a big KISS fan, and when they released 'The Elder', I did not understand what they were trying to say. Nowadays I think it is probably one of their best albums. I always look at the different angles of things. An album like 'Endorama' may for some people seem like a very selfish album; [like] we just wanted to do it for ourselves, we did not care what the audience was thinking. Maybe it would have been a good idea to have had that released under a different name, because people have expectations about the band. If you look at BATHORY, they did the same thing, maybe on a different level. They started off as one of the most extreme bands, and then suddenly released a Viking album. It was great, but different though. When you have a 20-year career you definitely do something that people think… It would have been so boring to just piss people off with medium quality releases rather than different styles, which is more interesting. Instead of 'Endorama' we could have released a thrash album, fast and brutal, but we did not feel that way at the time. It was more honest, but people think it is not."

Blaze Bayley

Former IRON MAIDEN/WOLFSBANE frontman Blaze Bayley will release his new solo album in late October. The record will contain 14 new songs and will be supported by "a massive tour 2008/2009, covering over 150 concerts all over the world," according to Blaze's management. Mater mu kozmichku dal ce bude kod nas jedan od ovih 150? Ocu da vidim legendu pre nego sto propadne konacno..

Witchfinder General
WITCHFINDER GENERAL, one of the few bands of the NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) era to opt for the classic early BLACK SABBATH dirge rather than the more uptempo metal of most of their countrymen, has revealed the details of its upcoming collection of obscure material. Entitled "Buried Amongst the Ruins", the release couples for the first time the "Burning a Sinner" 7", "Soviet Invasion" 12" and four live tracks from 1981 (including the never-before-heard "Phantasmagorical"). The package also features never-before-seen photos of the band's original recording lineup of Zeeb Parkes (vocals), Phil Cope (guitar), Toss McCready (bass) and Steve Kinsell (drums) along with pictures of the original lyric book for many of the songs, gig flyers and original artwork and perhaps some other suprises. "Buried Amongst the Ruins" track listing: "Burning A Sinner" 7": 01. Burning A Sinner 02. Satan's Children "Soviet Invasion" 12": 03. Soviet Invasion 04. Rabies 05. R.I.P. Live 1981: 06. Satan's Children 07. Rabies 08. Phantasmagorical 09. Soviet Invasion
