Moj stav je poznat: da mi neko kaže "možeš da zadržiš black metal albume ili iz devedesetih ili iz dvehiljaditih", bez ikakvih problema bih se opredelio za dvehiljadite. Da uzmeš bilo koju karakteristiku - agresivnost, brutalnost, melanholičnost, "zimski" osećaj, atmosferičnost, čak i avangardnost - neko je to već uradio bolje od velike četvorke.

A to ima kakve tačno veze sa raspravom? Pored toga da Enslaved može sa jednim albumom da se popiša po kompletnoj Megadeth diskografiji u smislu komponovanja i muzičkog genija. E da, i Megadave bratija bi mogla da proveri kako uopšte zvuči Enslaved pre nego što nastavi sa minusima. Kapiram da većina nije upoznata, jbg, oni još ništa nisu snimili sa Cristinom Scabbiom.

Obrnuh album triput, 80% Fas, 10% SMRC, 10% novih ideja, taman da ne bude kopija prošlog. Dve stvari odmah upadaju u oči, prvo, da su vokali dosta raznovrsniji nego ikad ranije, i drugo, da su vratili u momentima malo one stare Malign Paradigm melanholije - pogotovo poslednja pesma je monument. Oduvek me je pizdelo što onaj prefantastični rif na kraju A Chore For The Lost nije dobio više mesta na Fas-u - sad je to ispravljeno. Eventualna mana je što kraće pesme, a Fas kompozicija znači da je album još teže varljiv nego ranije, trebaće vremena dok provalim sve ideje i rifove, prebrzo se slažu jedni preko drugih, ali sad-zasad je važno da nije podbačaj i razočaranje ni u kom smislu.

Thorns recording second full length studio album now! We are in the process of recording our second album now. We are working in Oera Studio here in Trondheim with Jostein Ansnes and a couple of other good technicians. We started recording drums on September 1. and will start recording guitars and bass the coming week. Vocals will be recorded in a separate session later this fall, and we will use some time with additional instruments and recordings to accompany the basic instrumentation. We hope to deliver the master to Moonfog before Christmas and that the album will be out first quarter of 2009. We are proud to say that we have 10 great songs written by myself and Jon Wesseltoft. Lyrics are mainly written by Aldrahn. The material on this album is mostly harder, darker and more energetic than on the 2001 album. Gratification guarantied!!
