10.02 > Press release - Charon enters studio

Charon will begin recording their new, yet unnamed, album in 14 Feb 2005. They will be heading to the legendary Finnvox Studios in Helsinki with renowned producer Mikko Karmila. Recording sessions will continue until mid-March, after which Karmila will mix the album. The first single will be released in April, and the entire album is slated to be released in August.

 

New songs, 13 pieces altogether, are versatile, more live-oriented and dark-toned than earlier Charon material. There are many new elements in the music, just because of a new guitarist, and using a producer in a different studio setup.

 

Charon will tour in Finland to promote the album in the autumn. However, the band can be seen on stage on summer festivals as well. The next scheduled gigs are at the end of May in Helsinki, Tampere and Oulu.

 

Charon will keep you posted on any news and information while in the studio. They will be updating a studio diary on the website periodically with news and pictures.

    The upcoming fifth CHARON album will be called "SONGS FOR THE SINNERS" and it is scheduled to be released 31st August 2005 in Finland.

    International release date is 5th September 2005.

    Dakle, Songs For The Sinners je sjajan album. Vrhunsko pevanje, vrhunske melodije, vrhunska atmosfera. Charon su iznad svih u ovom i pribliznim zanrovima (narocito sada kada Sentenced-a vise nema) i to su po ko zna koji put po/dokazali. Kad njih cujem, nemam vise zelju da slusam nista slicno.
