Nije čudno...

Ja sam sasvim slučajno naletio na njih, 2002. kad sam bio u Herceg Novom pregledah šta ima u prodavnici diskova i naletim na ovaj gadan omot:

Vidim ja kako se grupa zove i počnem se smijati, i okrenem da vidim spisak pjesama kad tamo:

1. Headhunter

2. Eat the Rich

3. Long Stick Goes Boom

4. Screaming in the Night

5. American Woman (Guess Who obrada)

6. Midnight Maniac

7. Ballroom Blitz (Sweet)

8. Stayed Awake All Night (BTO)

9. Our Love

10. School's Out (Alice Cooper)

Hm, pomislim... Možda ovi mladići i imaju šta da kažu...

Još ti ja vidim da je neke stvari producirao Bruce Fairbairn. 'O majku mu' pomislih, pa gdje ste se vi sakrivali od mene sve ove godine.

I kupim ja taj disk, pa još poslije nađem neke albume, da ne nabrajam...

 

Uglavnom radi se o hard rock bendu, po uzoru na AC/DC, s tim da u nekim momentima se približavaju hard metal zvuku a la Džudah Prišt, a navodno su u '70-im izdali par albuma koji su bili simfo rok (to sam samo pročitao, a ne bih znao da li je tačno pošto je prvi album koji ja imam iz 1980)...

    Nisam ih slušao, ali sam čuo za njih u nekoj priči povezanoj sa Metallicom.

    Navodno, 1982. Krokus je morao otkazati svoj nastup na nekom festivalu u LA, pa je Metallica uskočila na njihovo mjesto i bila izvanredno prihvaćena od strane publike. Odmah je zatim uslijedilo potpisivanje ugovora sa izdavačkom kucom i snimanje Kill 'Em All-a.

    Znači da je Krokus, na neki indirektan način, pomogao proboju Metallice na HM scenu.

    KROKUS have posted an unplugged video of their 'Screaming In The Night' track at their official website (krokusonline.seven49.net). The track comes from recent TV appearance. KROKUS are celebrating 25 years of Swiss-bred hard rock this summer with the return of vocalist/frontman Mark Storace and with the release of two new albums. The first release, Fire And Gasoline, is the previously reported live album recorded on their last European tour which hits the streets on June 29th, 2004. Also included on the live album is a new song, 'Rock The Block' which is the title track from their latest studio effort, Rock The Block, which will be released on July 27th. Both records will be issued by Reality Entertainment. Krokus plans to tour in support of both these releases later this year.

    Inace,od Krokusa imam (samo) album Headhunter i neki 'Best Of' (by Metal Hammer)...Valjda cu jednom nabaviti sve od njih...

    Мислим да сам на претходно постојећој теми био написао да сам имао прилике да набавим ђутуре скоро целу њихову дискографију на плочама, али сам отишао код човека, провртео неколико албума и схватио да је то премлако за мој укус.
