When in my 20-somethings, I was introduced to many crossover/thrash metal acts during the 80s; Ludichrist, DxRxIx, Crumbsuckers, C.o.C., Cryptic Slaughter, Soothsayer, Attitude Adjustment and so many others coming to my mind first. The whole crossover thing was really great during the 80s, and it´s sometimes good to see some new bands going back to that classic crossover sound, and trying to make their best of it. That is what this Serbian 4-piece crossover/thrash act named Nadimac, is also (at least) trying to do on the band´s so far only full-length album, DRZAVNI NEPRIJATELJ BROJ KEC. The album contains also the band´s 5-song self-released EP, titled METAL JE RAT (translated “Metal Is War” in English), but as a fully re-recorded version. Nadimec plays simple, fast-paced, raw and punk-ish crossover thrash, and indeed its intention is to obtain some of that ´magic & mayhem´ where such crossover acts like DxRxI, Crumbsuckers, etc., were once so good and convincing at. The only problem is that even if they have surely tried their very best to make Nadimec´s stuff to turn the ears of some cultivated and experienced crossover/thrash fans to their side, I think the nostalgic value of this album grows old simply way too soon. Sure thing, it is always nice to hear this type of stuff churned out from some other places of the world than some of your favorite crossover/thrash troops from the axis of BA-NY-Montreal-Beauport – and in fact I bet the Serbian Nadimec has reached a pretty good following in their home country too, amongst the circles of crossover/thrash metal fans at least. It´s just too bad their stuff hardly makes me to want to revisit their album any more, let´s say, after the first 2-3 rounds or so. It´s no denying that the album has its cool, nostalgic moments, but unfortunately they just don’t carry too far, if I am completely honest with all of you. Europe is under a permanent hurricane of so many great bands and albums in the last period. Also at the southern tip of the old continent's raging hurricane. Above all, sprouting in the Balkans, the bands from the ground like mushrooms, the old thrash indulge in cheerful and happy just like the gentlemen from Nadimac I'd like to introduce to you today. The Belgrade Thrasher have a mix on it which I personally very strongly of old missiles, such as "Pleasure to Kill" remind "Coma Of Souls" and "Extreme Aggression" by Kreator. Only these guys have their songs with vocals, while a superb Serbo-Croat Flamboyant Creator created. On the first pass but you have no communication problems and Danilo "Daca" Trbojevic (vocals), Stefan "Cora" Ćorović (guitar), Marko "Zec" Pavlovic (bass) and Dragan Dragance "Ristic (drums) can their thrash metal album "Drzavni Neprijatelj Broj Kec" (engl. Public Enemy Number One) set a sign that everyone understands. The album is available via the Area Death Productions and one should antesten Thrash fans as the material is downright addictive once and the songs in Serbo-Croatian. The final death blow with another mouse, and is recognized with a sardonic grin, and it has finally left only rubble. Conclusion: Raw, uncut thrash metal of the fan of the early styles of the genre that is around and on. The exotic vocals from the bonus you earned some slack with a lot of charm in the heart of the thrash fans and across the bank you will provide for neck pain, bruising, and sweating. Баш је оно прави олд скул треш метал Ко није чуо, нек чује обавезно!!! едит: Онај текст, јер на пољском или чешком?
