After the return of vocalist Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett from their touring commitments with side project Hellyeah, Mudvayne has begun the recording process for The New Game As of July 16th their myspace now shows a video with a possible preview of a new song. The video plays guitar riffs, stops, displays a few words, and then continues the riffs/stops, etc. These words spell out, "It's happening," " It's coming," "Are you...," and finally, "Ready?" this video can also be viewed on their fan based website found here. An updated version of the video ends with the date August 26, 2008, a possible release for the first single from the new album. As of August 19th there is also a preview of the new song on their myspace, which includes Chad singing. Now as of September 1st Mudvaynes homepage has the preview of the video. After putting their fourth record on hold last summer so singer Chad Gray could tour with his other band Hellyeah, Mudvayne are finally wrapping up the disc with producer Dave Fortman (Slipknot, Evanescence). The band has completed tracking drums and guitars and is about to start recording bass. Vocals will follow and mastering should be completed by October 1 for a late November release, Fortman tells HeadbangersBlog.com. The album is tentatively called The New Game and will be followed six months later by a second full record. Regarding the first disc, Fortman says Mudvayne fans should be pleased, but at the same time, the band has dug into its arsenal and pulled out some new weapons. “It’s heavy and has great hooks, but it also has some moments that are a little more rock n’ roll that are really cool,” Fortman says. “It’s not anything drastic, but every now and then you’ll catch a little hint of old-school rock. Also, the tones are a little more earthy sounding and a little warmer than [2005's] Lost and Found.” Mudvayne have most of the music for the second album written, but still need vocal melodies on four songs. “We may go for even more of a metal approach on some of the songs to break it up a little bit,” Fortman says. “But who knows what they’ll come up with.”

Weiland srećan u novembru, bez sumnje Scott Weiland, nekadašnji i sadašnji lider Stone Temple Pilotsa, bivši vokalni solista Velvet Revolvera, objaviće 18. novembra solo album Happy. Biće to njegov drugi samostalni album; debi 12 Bar Blues izašao je pre deset godina. Na albumu gostuju trojica članova grupe No Doubt, preneo je Reuters. Produkciju su podelili pevač i Doug Grean, a u snimanju je učestvovao i Steve Albini. Happy će objaviti Weilandova etiketa Softdrive.

Fino me iznenadi, bas lepo, hajde kada budes mogao baci i tu poslednju sto nisi mogao da uklopis u ceo paket aranzman. Elem pitao neki ruja Steve Austin-a preko myspace kada ce da dodju da im sviraju u Majci Rusiji, i evo sta mu je cika Steva odgovorio: "How do we tour when your country is at war? @Sandman, potrazi na warez-bb.org sajtu, najverovatnije imas ili dvd rip sa tim bonus necenzurisanim dodacima...

Nemam reci, ovo je tako lose, da ne vredi ni da se pise/kuca o ovom filmu... Rekoh sebi necu uzgajati nikakve nade da ce nastavak biti bolji od keca, ali eto moja strip postovalacka strana me je sve vreme zavaravala da ce film da bude barem solidan... Ala sam se zajebao, alal mi vera! Prica hajde kao i mogla bi zaista da prodje, samo da scenario (ima toliko glupog dijaloga da je to nedopustivo) nije pisao Guillermo Del Toro, i da on nije rezirao film... Najgore je sto mu je izgleda Mike Mignola (kreator Hellboy) izgleda pomogao u pravljenu iste. Sledece, razvoj likova, pa ima ga pomalo na kasicicu, dopada mi se sto je losem momku Nuadi dodato dosta vremena, da se njegov lik razvije sto je i plus u neku ruku... Ostatak likova, i nije bas te srece... Abraham Sapien aka Abe, je u ovom filmu napravljen kao septrlja i klovn, da bi jelte ameri mogli da se smeju (comedy relief figures) A doticni uopste nije takav u stripovima, cak sta vise ozbiljan je i intrigantan lik, koji je u filmu mogao mnogo bolje da se razvije... Hellboy-a su pretvorili u kretena, bukvalno, fazon je u tome sto su sa ovim scenariom, kao da niko ne zna za njegovo postojanje, uzeli ono najgore iz X-men-a i slicnih super heroja, da ako se pokazu pred "normalnim svetom" oni ce ih mrzeti zbog toga kakvi su, jer su im neshvatljivi... E bre ovo je Hellboy a ne tamo neki Spider-man ili X-men ili slicni buckurisi! Drugo stalno se suprotstavlja svom nadleznom, sto uopste nije bio slucaj u stripu, barem neko od ekipe nije izginuo... Prema Abe se ponasa kao da mu je tamo neki poznanik, a ne najbolji ortak... Njegov odnos sa Liz Sherman (Selma Blair), je ovde sveden na neki minimum... Sa njom je takodje isto problem sto ima veoma malo vremena na filmu (izgleda kao da se dovoljno pojavljuje, ali u sustini skoro da ni nista ne radi, barem sam ja stekao takav dojam gledajuci film), i upotreba njenih moci je svedena na minimum, a bila bi veoma korisna u dosta situacija... Pride Blair-ova se dosta poruznila od keca, izgleda kao tranvestit narkoman u s/m odelu... Johann Krauss, uh meni jedan od omiljenih likova iz stripa (pored Roger The Homonculus-a) je ispao, nedorecen, bespotrebno su mu zbudzili masku da izgleda kao da dise i da prica sa dve mini rucice, ne svidja mi se taj robotski izgled, a mogli su jednostavno da ga odrade kako izgleda u stripu: Ali jebiga voli Mignola da menja likove previse, a kao voli ih, eh... Smeta mi i tonalitet filma, prica mi nikako ne izgleda ozbiljno zbog toliko jarkih i presvetlih boja, kao crtani, a Hellboy uopste nije strip sa svetlom atmosferom, a da ne pricam kako je ceo film pun "humora" koji nije uopste smesan vec tuzan i davi ono malo dostojanstva koje je prica nudila, i iole mogla da ga izvuce da ne bude krs kakav sada jeste... 3d animacije mi izgledaju bas jadno za danasnje vreme, videcete o cemu pricam pogotovo kada se Hellboy bude borio sa onim sumskim bogom u gradu, i kada se maju sa "zubnim vilama"... Zaista nisam mogao da uzivam u ovoj adaptaciji, ali kapiram da ce oni ljudi koji nisu citali strip, a i zele da se malo zabave, odgledace ovaj drugi deo i verovatno ce im biti dobar film... Na skali od 1 do 10, klimava 4 i ni broj vise od toga! P.S. Jedva cekam da Guillermo objavi rad na trecem delu, bas da vidim da li ce moci da odradi barem nesto prolazno kao prvi deo, ili ce jos vecu papazjaniju od ovoga da napravi.
