According to Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com, VENOM's new album, "Hell", has had its release date pushed back to June 9 (Europe) and June 10 (U.S.) from the previously announced May 26 and May 27, respectively. In other news, Universal has announced their plans to release "Hell" on vinyl. The vinyl version of the LP will be released two weeks after the CD. The CD will be released with a 'limited-edition jewel case', and the vinyl will also be available as a "limited-edition picture disc." VENOM last year parted ways with guitarist Mykvs (a.k.a. Mike Hickey; ex-CARCASS, CATHEDRAL). "Personal unavoidable commitments in the U.S. have forced Mykvs to announce that he cannot commit 100% to VENOM's schedule," the band previously wrote in a statement. A new guitarist by the name of Rage has been drafted in to replace Mykvs.

There has been much speculation as of late to the status of DIVINE HERESY, but rest assured that the band has regrouped in time for the start of the "Tyranny and Bloodshred Tour", which kicked off a few days ago. Fans in attendance will get a first look at the group's new touring vocalist — Jake Veredika, former lead singer of the Maryland-based metal band PERIPHERY — and DIVINE HERESY promises to deliver a stellar and unrelenting set. Commented guitarist Dino Cazares: "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. While we sincerely regret having to cancel our New England Metal and Hardcore Festival performance, Joe [Payne, bass], Tim [Yeung, drums] and I are excited about what the future holds for DIVINE HERESY and can't wait to get back on the road. We wouldn't miss this tour for anything. Thanks to all our fans for keeping the faith, but now it's time to let the music do the talking. Please come by the merch booth each night to say hello and we look forward to seeing all of you soon." Veredika came into Assembly Line Studios (RAVEN, DECEASED, PROJECT: FAILING FLESH) in Vienna, Virginia last Wednesday (May 7) to record a demo version of DIVINE HERESY's "Savior Self" to submit to the group for its consideration. He completed the recording around 3:00 p.m., the demo was e-mailed off, and by 6:00 p.m. he had the gig! Kevin 131 of Assembly Line Studios tells BLABBERMOUTH.NET, "We have known Jake for awhile... he records here from time to time. He shows up with a DIVINE HERESY demo and gets in a session with Ben [McCall; engineer] in the afternoon. Three hours later, he gets a thumbs-up for the tour! It feels like a 'Ripper' Owens/'Rock Star' moment around here. Ha! We wish Jake the best of luck on the rest of the DIVINE HERESY tour. Glad to be a part of the process for ya." While a possibility exists that Veredika will join DIVINE HERESY as the permanent replacement for Cummings, guitarist Dino Cazares (ex-FEAR FACTORY) told BLABBERMOUTH.NET that the band won't make that decision until after its current "Tyranny And Bloodshred 2008" North American tour with ARCH ENEMY, DARK TRANQUILLITY and FIREWIND wraps at the end of May. Tommy Cummings' videotaped statement regarding his departure from DIVINE HERESY and the response from the remaining members of the group can be found at this location. DIVINE HERESY's debut album, "Bleed the Fifth", has sold more than 20,000 copies in the United States since its August 2007 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD was released in Japan with an exclusive bonus track, "Purity Defiled".

Pop superstar MADONNA paid tribute to "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott by playing what sounds a lot like the main riff to PANTERA's classic song "A New Level" during her May 10, 2008 performance at Radio One's Big Weekend at Mote Park in Maidstone, UK. MADONNA's current touring guitarist and guitar teacher is none other than Monte Pittman, who has also recorded and toured with PRONG. According to Bug magazine, Pittman landed the job as MADONNA's touring guitarist after a man called the music store in Los Angeles where Pittman was working inquiring about guitar lessons, and Monte's name was passed along. That customer was none other than Guy Ritchie, film director extraordinaire and soon-to-be husband of Madonna. "Guy was my third student," Monte told Bug. "That was before 'Snatch' came out, and I didn't know who he was. It turns out he and Madonna were dating. He had just had some surgery done on his knee, I believe, so he was off his feet and she got him a guitar. He started taking lessons, and he got pretty good at it. I remember the day 'Music' [Madonna's CD] came out, and I taught him a few things from it. I thought it would be cool for him to play them for her." When Guy returned the favor and bought Madonna a guitar, she started taking lessons from Monte as well. "It was the same thing as Guy — she learned everything I gave her," Monte told Bug. "She took it seriously, and worked really hard at it. She learned so much so quickly. That's one thing about Madonna — her drive is incredible." A month after Madonna started playing guitar, she got called to perform on "The Late Show with David Letterman". She invited me to come play with her, and I thought she was pulling my leg at first," Monte told Bug, "but she was serious." TESTAMENT lead guitarist Alex Skolnick was forced to sit out the band's May 9, 2008 performance at the Rock Hard Festival at the Gelsenkirchen Amphitheatre in Gelsenkirchen, Germany due to scheduling conflicts (he was in the middle of a short Yamaha-sponsored acoustic guitar clinic tour in the U.S.). The Pulse of Radio reports: TOOL frontman Maynard James Keenan sent an email to fans last week in which he said that A PERFECT CIRCLE, the band he formed in 2000 with guitarist Billy Howerdel, is still a going concern even though both Keenan and Howerdel are both now involved with other projects. Keenan wrote, "As many of you may have heard, Billy and I are engaged in our own little projects for the moment. His is called ASHES DIVIDE and mine is called PUSCIFER...Please be advised that A PERFECT CIRCLE and TOOL are still alive and well. This is simply MORE." A PERFECT CIRCLE went on hiatus in 2004 after issuing three studio albums and one live set, while Keenan went back to work with TOOL and Howerdel began assembling ASHES DIVIDE.

The Bug u X-Lagoomu Jedan od najpoznatijih dubstep autora, doajen britanske elektronske scene - Kevin Martin a.k.a. The Bug, nastupiće 22. maja u beogradskom klubu X-Lagoom. U pitanju je prvi u nizu događaja koji će se odigrati u okviru novopokrenute klupske večeri Svetlana Industries presents Pirate FM. The Bug je već godinama aktivan na britanskoj elektronskoj sceni. Objavljivao je za Virgin pod imenom Techno Animal, a tokom 90-ih snimio je nekoliko ambient-techno albuma. Intenzivno se bavio dancehallom i reggaeom, a do 2003, kada je snimio album Pressure za priznatu elektronsku izdavačku kuću koju je osnovao Aphex Twin - Rephlex, već je bio jedan od pionira dubstepa. Često sarađuje sa Warrior Queen, ženskim MC-jem sa Jamajke; njegove pesme prepoznatljive su po "basičnom" grooveu. The Bug će nastupiti u sklopu celovečernjeg programa raspoređenog u dve prostorije kluba X-Lagoom. Pored gosta iz Velike Britanije, uživo će nastupiti i lokalni dubstep producenti Filtercutter (sa Zzuuu na vokalu) i Piece of Shh. Tokom večeri nastupiće i "beogradski britanac" Wrongdoer, koji će puštati dub, jungle i drum'n'bass; Moodswinger, koji će predstaviti mešavinu "bass-heavy" stilova; Neutrino i Rebel B sa breakbeatom, i Moyne Selecta koji će zatvoriti veče reggaeom i dancehallom. @Sabre hvala ti puno! Mnogo mi se dopada ovaj Eternal, podseca ma na san bez kraja, tako da ne gine preslusavanje starijih izdanja.

Opa! To bi bilo zanimljivo napraviti, mada ne znam koliko bi ljudi doslo na festival, u svakom slucaju podrzavam Novi Bjork standardica. Preporuka za sve koji su voleli Kyuss, neka obavezno preslusaju Hermano (peva John Garcia) nece se razocarati (naravno ne ocekujte totalnu Kyuss kopiju takodje...)

Kada se samo setim lepih dana kada sam imao sony 1, i kada smo ja i ortak kao ludi prelazili deo za delom da bi videli sve animacije i naravno otkljucali nove likove, delovi su postajali sve tezi i tezi, a nerviranje sve vece Dvojka je i dalje najbolja igra u celom serijalu, dok je Black imala dobru atmosferu, ali se videlo da je igra bila stand alone za sebe... Ovo posle njega sto je izlazilo za psp i onaj kao kiddy tm, ni ne racunam u nastavke...

Dobar je ovaj novi Catch 22, mada ne mogu a da ne primetim da na neke trenutke vuce na Pain, tacnije na prva dva albuma, rifovi mi se cine tako slicnim, jedino ih izdvaja Petrov death vokal, sto je naravno za pohvalu, album je sada mnogo bolji
