AMON, the resurrected Florida-based death metal band featuring former DEICIDE members Eric Hoffmann (guitar) and Brian Hoffman (guitar), has begun mixing its new album, "Liar In Wait", at RedRoom Recorders in Tampa with producer Mark Prator. Eric tells BLABBERMOUTH.NET, "[The CD sounds] brutal! Drums sound like a helicopter on steroids. Engl amps crushing."

Florida-based death metallers CANNIBAL CORPSE have begun recording their twelfth studio album at Sonic Ranch studios in Texas with producer Erik Rutan. The band has spent months writing the album and has recorded at Sonic Ranch in the past, but never with Rutan at the helm. More details on the album, including art, songs, title and more will be revealed in the months to follow. For now, the band is hard at work forging their next death metal offering. Commented bassist Alex Webster : "After having spent the past seven months writing and rehearsing new material, we're very excited to finally begin recording. We've had great success working with Erik Rutan on our past two albums so we've decided to work with him again, but to keep things fresh we decided on a change of location — we're returning to Sonic Ranch studios in Texas, where we've recorded several albums in the past. We are psyched to see how this combination works out- we feel it's pairing that could result in our best album yet." Ježenje od ove poslednje rečenice, ali ipak jedva čekam.

Following the release of "Evinta" earlier this year, in which the band marked 20 years of existence with a release of symphonic compositions re-imagining past MY DYING BRIDE themes, the U.K. doom legends now present their latest chapter in the form of new EP, "The Barghest O' Whitby", to be released November 7 through Peaceville Records on CD and limited vinyl. This single track, 25-minute epic represents the epitome of poetic grace and funeral soundscapes from one of gothic doom's most celebrated acts. With a masterful blend of pounding guitar riffs and sombre atmospheric passages, MY DYING BRIDE embarks on a chilling journey through superstition and folklore. Said the band on the origin of the idea, "Carrying straight on from the success of 'Evinta' found us kind of out of breath for a second; we were already aware of a new-found love of all things bleak and grey and were eager to start writing in a more traditional MY DYING BRIDE style. What did catch us off guard was the increased heaviness and the fresh approach to song writing. Moving away somewhat with the lyrical theme from our usual feeding ground, we found ourselves on the rainy moors of Yorkshire contemplating the story of the Barghest, a supernatural entity hell bent on revenge. The tale now to be told wove itself into a 25-minute epic which initially we thought would be a three part EP, but it simply became one very long song full of everything MY DYING BRIDE and more. The violins conjure lonely tears atop a chasm of epic British doom." "The Barghest O' Whitby" was recorded at Futureworks Studios in Manchester with longtime production partner and engineer, Mags. The release is the first to feature violin/keyboardist Shaun Macgowan, and sees the return of Shaun "Winter" Taylor Steels to the drum stool for this recording. The cover artwork for "The Barghest O' Whitby" also appears courtesy of vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe. "We've never been heavier or more cataclysmically connected to doom metal as a state of mind; it's no longer just a musical style to us," the band states.

"In Somniphobia" is a sonic nightmare that lasts for more than an hour. The musical direction is pretty much far from that of the last two albums, "Scenes from Hell" and "Hangman's Hymn". It is not easy to describe its direction, but probably one can say that it is something between "Imaginary Sonicscape", "Hail Horror Hail" and "Gallows Gallery", or rather, simply a nightmarish version of "Imaginary Sonicscape". Put heavy metal, classical music, jazz, Indian traditional music, Stockhausen, and Xenakis into a cauldron of hell and stir it, you'll get "In Somniphobia". The first two songs are VERY heavy metal, but from the third track, it begins. Five songs are woven together, which part is named "Lucid Nightmares". It is a pure sonic description of nightmares. This is surrealistic, ethnic, druggy, atmospheric and definitely scary! Lots of vintage gems are being used such as Minimoog, Prophet-5, Clavinet D-6, Roland RE-201 Space Echo etc. along with some ethnic instruments like Indian Sarangi, Sitar, Tampura, and Tabla. Kam Lee (ex-Massacre, Bone Gnawer etc.) and Metatron (The Meads of Asphodel) cooperated with the lyrics and the vocals for "Lucid Nightmares". Listen with Headphones is strictly recommended. Smoke before you try this. Bad trip guaranteed! Kako čujem, u januaru bi trebalo da izađe.

Konačno sam saznao na koju foru je nastao onaj plejer za Google Chrome: What is Last.fm free music player? Last.fm free music player is a free music player for Google Chrome with Last.fm integration. How does it work? There's a little site called vkontakte.ru, or vk.com. That's where the tracks are coming from. That's a Russian site, right? Yes, in Soviet Russia, track scrobble you. Actually, it's like Facebook, with a dash of YouTube. It's not one of those "Psst - hey, Buddy. Wanna download some MP3's?" sites. 100 million people and counting use this site. But Last.fm says "We think the site you're about to visit is untrustworthy or spam..." Well, McAfee SiteAdvisor seems to think it's OK. There have been phishing scams aimed at users of that site, but the site itself is as legitimate as the above mentioned sites. OK, so far, so good. Now this Chrome extension is telling me that it needs to access my private data on all websites. What's that about? It does not access your private data. Chrome shows the warning for all extensions that access browser tabs even if they do not access any private data.
