Dutch death metallers GOD DETHRONED have finished recording their ninth album, "Under The Sign Of The Iron Cross", at the Soundlodge Studios in Leer, Germany. Comments singer/guitarist Henri Sattler: "Just like with our two previous albums, we've been recording at Soundlodge with producer Jörg Uken. "'Under The Sign Of The Iron Cross' is another concept album about World War One. Having done a concept album about this topic before didn't make it an easy job, but reading Ernst Juenger's 'In Stahlgewittern' (Storm of Steel), which is his biography of his daily experiences in the trenches during the war, gave me so much inspiration that I managed to do a good job on the lyrics and I'm really satisfied with the result, but this is, of course, something you will have to check out for yourselves. "Musically, the new album turned out to be one of the most extreme records we ever did. Nevertheless with the very recognizable GOD DETHRONED hooks present in all the songs. Producer Jörg Uken outdid himself this time, because our new album is, in my opinion, the best-produced album we ever had. Extremely raw, heavy, but crystal clear and super dynamic at the same time." GOD DETHRONED is: Henri "T.S.K." Kažem ja Neka mešavina Ruun i Vertebrae, uzeo najbolje od oba albuma. Grutle on "Giants": "A wonderful doom/death piece that I also instantly liked. This one was also among the easiest to arrange and the first one we recorded vocals for. Perhaps the heaviest ENSLAVED song ever, and for the first time in many years, we even dug up our old [Roland] SH-1 [synthesizer] to add some psychedelic '70s-sounds! A really cool song to play, a monster! The lyrics deals with — as the title insinuates — the giants! Meaning the chaos inside each and every one of us and in our surroundings. The giants are the opposite of the æsir in Norse mythology, and symbolize the outer consciousness, female forces, and disorder. Always in conflict with the masculine, inner conscious order of the æsir." Ivar on "Giants": "This is definitely the heavy song of the album. "If the opening riff is influenced by VOIVOD, BLACK SABBATH, or both — I am not sure… but I am extremely satisfied with how it turned out. "The main riff that follows is based on some kind of weird scale I came up with during a day on the tour bus in Portland last year. "I don't know one scale from the other, so I use associations to describe them. "When the riff was played at a low enough tempo, I saw giants marching through the fog taking no heed of any obstacles, chaotic and determined at the same time. "The 'chorus' (we don't really have those, but common terms make it easier to discuss songs inside and outside of the band) keeps the marching feeling going and at the same time, musically depicts another side of the chaotic forces: One of beauty and freedom. "As for who should have done the lyrics, there was no doubt once the title was ready: Grutle is definitely the man to write about the Giant forces. His lyrics fit the song perfectly!"

Da, dešava se, izašao je novi album. Šteta što je crkla stara tema, tamo je bilo postova iz 2004. kada sam se oduševljavao Confusion Bay-om.Da da, gostuje im neka riba. Ništa naročito.Amen. Otkud tebi ideja da ja ne poznajem pravac koji je u pitanju? Evo konkretno ovaj moj inkriminišući post je bio tako kratak iz sledećeg razloga - danas sam stajao na poslu 8 sati, došao sam na forum da se odmorim i izbacio post na brzinu. Ako želiš, mogu ti napisati detaljan traktat o svakom albumu koji si pomenuo jer da, jesam kompetentan, pratim scenu godinama ali ne delim isto mišljenje kao i ti. I iskreno, ne znam koji je tvoj problem, što reče čovek - ja sam izbacio svoje neutralno mišljenje a ti uporno spuštaš priču na lični nivo nekim cinično bednim podjebavanjima. Mislio sam da ljudi preteruju što te drndaju, znaš i sam da sam ti više puta udelio komplimente za tvoje recenzije i bio par puta na tvojoj strani ali sad definitivno vidim da imaš neki problem i potrebu da ulaziš u bezrazložne rasprave.Ali si do jaja kompetentan da se kačiš sa svim živima po forumu bez ikakve potrebe i provokacije.Davno smo prošli tu fazuZnamo ali te ipak volimo.Ajde Vudu u kom si fazonu, Prin čeka poziv da zameni Jeremića a ti našao sad da ga jebeš.Kad je leto sluša se power, old skul ded i sve iz osamdesetih kod mene.Kako se Vudu više ne smori...Mnemic poslednji je đubre neopevano, a Sybreed nisam uspeo ceo ni da preslušam.Live album audio rip na 320kbps Meni prvi disk malo čudno zvučao, aj da vidim da li je do ripa bilo...
