THEATRE OF TRAGEDY: 'Storm' Album Final Track Listing Revealed Norway's THEATRE OF TRAGEDY have finalized the track listing for their new album, "Storm", due in Germany and Switzerland on Friday, March 24 via AFM Records. The rest of Europe will follow on Monday, March 27. A U.S. release date will be announced later. The CD was produced by Rico Darum and mixed by Greg Reely (PARADISE LOST, FEAR FACTORY, FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY, SKINNY PUPPY, etc.) at The Green Jacket studios in Richmond, B.C., Canada. A single, "Storm", is scheduled for release on February 24 via AFM Records/Soulfood. In addition to the title cut (check out audio sample at this location), the single will include a club remix of "Storm", another album track ("Begin and End"), and an exclusive song that will only be available on this single, entitled "Beauty in Deconstruction". THEATRE OF TRAGEDY's new album will be the group's first to feature singer Nell (THE CREST), who replaced Liv Kristine Espenaes Krull (currently in LEAVES' EYES) in early 2004. As previously reported, Norway's GOTHMINISTER have been confirmed as the support act for THEATRE OF TRAGEDY on their upcoming European tour. The Gathering is finishing their 9th studio album together with Attie Bauw. The album will be called Home. Some song titles are: Shortest Day Home Fatigue Your Troubles Are Over Solace The Quiet One A Noise Severe Alone The band has recorded 13 tracks but don't know yet if they all appear on the new album. The Gathering has signed a licensing deal for Europe with Sanctuary Records as they all felt Psychonaut was a little too small to promote them in a proper way. Home will be released in spring 2006, supported by an international Homelands Tour 2006 and festival appearances throughout the summer 2006.

ENSIFERUM To Release Live DVD In The Summer Finnish folk-influenced melodic death metal band ENSIFERUM, now featuring in its ranks NORTHER frontman Petri Lindroos, have posted the following message on their official web site: "ENSIFERUM thanks everyone who attended the 10th anniversary celebration concert [at Nosturi in Helsinki, Finland on Dec. 31, 2005]. If everything goes according our plans, the DVD of that gig will be released at June or July 2006. The recording of the third studio album begins next fall and the release of that album occurs at the end of this year, at the earliest." As previously reported, ENSIFERUM recently completed work on their new EP, "Dragonheads", due on February 15 via Spinefarm Records. The mini-CD was recorded and mixed in November at Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki by Nino Laurenne (THUNDERSTONE) and was mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios. It will contain one new track, new studio recordings of several old demo songs, and a couple of traditional Finnish folk covers. ENSIFERUM's sophomore album, "Iron", was released in April 2004 through Spinefarm Records. The follow-up to 2001's "Ensiferum" was recorded in the summer of 2003 at Sweet Silence studios in Copenhagen, Denmark with producer Flemming Rasmussen (METALLICA, ARTILLERY, MORBID ANGEL).

THERION To Begin Pre-Production For New Album Next Week Sweden's THERION will be starting pre-production for the new album next week, according to a posting on the group's official web site. "The recordings will be interupted to do some festivals in March," the posting adds. "There will be some surprises on stage on the MetalMania festivals..." THERION are one of the bands confirmed for the MetalMania 2006 festival, set to take place March 4 at Spodek in Katowice, Poland. Other acts scheduled to appear at the event include ACID DRINKERS, ANATHEMA, CALIBAN, HIERONYMUS BOSCH, HUNTER, MOONSPELL, NEVERMORE, PAINMUSEUM, SOILWORK, U.D.O. and UNLEASHED.

SPAWN OF POSSESSION: New Album Title, Songtitles Revealed Swedish technical death metal outfit SPAWN OF POSSESSION have set "Noctambulant" as the tentative title of their sophomore album, due in April/May via Neurotic Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Cabinet" will be recorded at Pama Studios in Kristianopel, Sweden beginning on January 13 with producer Magnus Sedenberg. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Lash by Lash", "Render my Prey" and "Eve of Contempt". The artwork will be created by Pär Olofsson (PSYCROPTIC). Commented drummer Dennis Röndum: "All of us in the band are totally hyped up to finally start laying down our new tunes. We just finalised the last instrumental details for the album and all I dare to say at this point is that this is going to be more than a worthy successor to our 2003 album entitled 'Cabinet'."
