Swedish doom legends CANDLEMASS will release their new album, "Death Magic Doom", on March 27 via Nuclear Blast Records. Commented bassist/main songwriter Leif Edling: "I'm happy to announce that the new album is mixed, mastered…done! It contains eight killer tracks and the name of it is 'Death Magic Doom'! The songs are about immortality, depressions, demons, vampires, funerals and the almighty devil that we all know very well, hehe. I love the way we perform here. Rob's [Lowe] singing and Lasse's [Lars Johansson, guitar] soloing are nothing but amazing!! The production is also outstanding! The name 'Death Magic Doom' captures it perfectly! Great name! Love it! Of course, we have the moaning militia on the [official CANDLEMASS] forum, but besides that everybody seem to like the name. AND it is very suitable for an album of this magnitude AND it also describes what CANDLEMASS is about; Heavy, hard, epic, colossal metal!!! I would say that 'Death Magic Doom' is the best album we have done since 'Nightfall' [1987]!! In all, [the LP contains] nearly 50 minutes of bone-crushing and mind-blowing doom metal!!" Austrian blackened death metal outfit BELPHEGOR are in the final stages of the writing process for their as-yet-untitled new album. The follow-up to 2008's "Bondage Goat Zombie" is tentatively scheduled for release in the fall via Nuclear Blast Records. Commented vocalist/guitarist Helmuth: "Yes brothers and sisters, currently we're working on nine new sound collages. We started writing in April 2008 after the 'Bondage Goat Zombie' release to create the new compositions for the eighth werk! The songs are basically completely finished and words can't really describe how enthusiastic and motivated we are to get into the studio and record this monster! It feels great to be creative again. Nefastus will be responsible for the drums on the new album. He is an old friend to the BELPHEGOR family and has also blasted on our previous opus 'Pestapokalypse VI'. We rehearse day and night since December to make it as tight and monumental as possible. Stay tuned demons, hell awaits!!!" Odakle ova patka Taman cu Denija da gurnem u reku, jedan od najgorih vokala ikada. Uvalio mi chika trifke GOTDT i neje lose, daleko od onoga sto sam ocekivao i bio spreman da obrisem (trigger-happy sam bio), ali bre osim oniog quasi-growl-a koji je podnoshljiv, muka mi je da ga slusham.

Pa ko je to poceo da dobija shampione Evrope i u gostima od ove sezone Mushki odigrano, tako treba! Najsladji dobitak ever. Prejaka! Standing ovation za ono. I jebiga, ipak smo chetvrti. Ali ovime smo vratili za sve idiotske poraze od po 1 poen... Jedva chekam novo druzenje u Pioniru :]

Zvuk jeste "prihvatljiviji", ali su pesme u osnovi iste. Nije drasticna razlika kao sa "Enemies Of Reality".

Swedish black metal horde LORD BELIAL has issued the following update: "January 2009; LORD BELIAL has quit all their activities. All future gigs are cancelled. We would like to thank all fans, bands we have played with, labels, organizers and everyone involved in the band for the past 17 years! "The main reason for this is the hearing problem (tinnitus) that has grown into a quite big problem for Micke [backelin, drums] the last years… The other members in the band were not forced to put an end to the band but instead they mutually agreed that finding another drummer was not a solution for the future. "Anyhow, if Micke's hearing will be at least a little bit recovered after a break from music and especially live appearances for some time, we really hope that we can continue where we ended. Album ima kilo doomish delova, pa i intro druge pesme da spadne pod neki prog (mene ono, konkretno na Opeth podseca), a na "Lat..", pa pesma ima black riff, u globalu sav metal i da stavish pod hard rock, ali ovako konkretno, ja to bash u Shiningu ne chujem, pa ni u tim melodicnijim delovima. A za JBJa ne razumem, a i licno mi je uzasan primer posto ga ne podnosim

MASTERPLAN guitarist Roland Grapow has commented on the band's split with vocalist Mike DiMeo (RIOT, THE LIZARDS). DiMeo joined MASTERPLAN in 2006 for the recording of the "MK II" album and the subsequent tour. Grapow, who was member of HELLOWEEN between 1989 and 2001, stated: "Mike is still our friend and we feel big respect to his huge singing talent. We are really thankful for Mike's great addition on 'MK II' and wishing him all the best and luck on his new projects! Meanwhile we continue to work on the new studio album. We'll put out more news about our new singer soon! So stay tuned and expect big things coming around... Right now we are not able to tell you more news, so be patient! Zbog neslaganja termina, ne gledah tekmu, blah, ali drago mi je sto ih ugazismo, josh Murinjo prisustvovao tekmi, heh. Pa ko ce to da bude prvi za nekih 10ak dana U stvari..jebem li ga kad mi nadoknadjujemo tekmu sa Fulamom, heh :]

Sto se tiche "Cult"a, neki lik na m-a je napisao dobru recenziju, gde bih pre svega izdvojio prejak deo: "In theory, this should be one of the more boring death/thrash bands, but theories CAN be hole-fucked, and, Legion of the Damned did exactly that and thus deservingly earned the title of the most interesting boring band." Otprilike je takav i moj stav prema bendu, s tim sto njemu se vokal dojmi, a meni je (kao i bubnjevi) cesto, cesto monoton. Vredi slusati zbog povremenih dobrih riffova, tu i tamo refrena, za izivljavanje su dobri, kapiram da bi' live polomio vrat, ali za slusanje duze od sat vremena kuci/na sluskama, meni nisu. Brzo dosade. Sa novog su mi jache: "Necrosophic Blessing", "Pray And Suffer".

Vocalist Mike DiMeo (RIOT, THE LIZARDS) has confirmed that he has parted ways with MASTERPLAN, the melodic metal band led by former HELLOWEEN guitarist Roland Grapow. Mike writes on his MySpace page, "I have nothing but profound respect for them and continue to wish them nothing but success in the future." Although MASTERPLAN has yet to announce a replacement for DiMeo, Grapow wrote in a November 5, 2008 online posting that the band had commenced the recording sessions for a new studio album, which is tentatively expected in May/June via AFM Records. He said, "Axel [Mackenrott, keyboards] and Jan [s. Eckert, bass] are working on more new song material in Hamburg in Axel's new studio. Meanwhile i'm writing/recording guitars and arranging songs in my studio in [slovakia]. We have 10 songs written so far and we'll still write more material parallel to the recordings. We are very happy with the new song material so far and we are sure it will be a killer album!!!" Roland also added that there will "hopefully [be] a big surprise" coming soon. Konachno neke vesti...
