Frontiers Records will release the debut album from Markus Grosskopf's (HELLOWEEN) BASSINVADERS, entitled "Hellbassbeaters", on January 25, 2008. BASSINVADERS was a creation of Markus' while sitting in a bar and enjoying a few drinks. It was there that he got inspired to produce a heavy rock record without any guitars at all. He presented this concept in early 2007 to Frontiers Records, which was intrigued by the idea and gave it a go. According to a press release, "Hellbassbeaters" contains all the basic elements of a heavy rock record "and so much more. You got the strong vocals, rhythmic bass, intoxicating drums and even bass and twin bass solo parts. What you hear is what you get: 100% genuine heavy rock record with absolutely no discordant guitar note on it at all." To guarantee a great variety of different influences, Markus invited some well-known singing bass players from the German metal scene to join the band, including DESTRUCTION's Schmier, SODOM's frontman Tom Angelripper and RAGE's Peavy. He also managed to get a few of his bass heroes to lay down solos on some of the tracks, including Billy Sheehan, Rudy Sarzo and DD Verni. Guest musicians include: Bass: Billy Sheehan (STEVE VAI, MR. Gil Kaufman of MTV.com reports: It was one of those moments where all you can do is look at the guy next to you and wonder, "Did he really just say that?" Is it possible that Ian Astbury, lead singer of '80s rock powerhouse THE CULT, spilled the beans on the biggest secret in rock — during a club show in Cincinnati? "We'll be back next year," a breathless Astbury said midway through the band's gig at Bogart's nightclub Saturday night. "Because we're opening for a band you may have heard of ... the name starts with an 'L' and has a 'Z' in it." Stunned looks bounced around the room until one sweat-drenched superfan shouted out the obvious: "LED ZEPPELIN!" Astbury, his eyes hidden behind dark shades, nodded affirmatively and stuck his hand in the air triumphantly before plowing into one of the band's signature Zeppelinesque rockers. When asked about Astbury's seeming confirmation of the world tour, spokespeople for THE CULT and ZEPPELIN both declined to comment. ZEPPELIN's spokesperson added that no decision has been made on any LED ZEPPELIN tour and the band is focusing on its appearance at the Ahmet Ertegun tribute concert in London on December 10; a CULT spokesperson declined to answer questions about Astbury's comment. World Entertainment News Network reports that MOTÖRHEAD frontman Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister is facing a $100 (£50) fine after openly flouting a smoking ban at a concert in the UK. Lemmy was playing a gig at Hallam Arena in Sheffield, England on November 6, 2007 when he lit a cigarette on stage, breaking the new law which came into force on July 1, banning smoking in all enclosed public places. A British police spokesman says, "Other venues on the tour will be notified and appropriate action may be taken should any further incidents take place." NEVERMORE frontman Warrel Dane has revealed more information about THE SISTERS OF MERCY cover song that he has recorded for his upcoming solo debut, tentatively due in early 2008 via Century Media Records. Said Dane: "OK, so since there's so much speculation about what SISTERS song it's going to be, I have to let the cat out of the bag. Every song on that record [1987's 'Floodland'] is great but 'Lucretia' has always been my favorite, 'Dominion' being a close second. "Anyone that knows me knows that I have always loved old-school goth. 'Nu goth' is kind of boring. Matt Wicklund [former HIMSA guitarist who collaborated with Dane on a few songs for the upcoming CD] did a great job of making 'Lucretia' METAL." Dane wrote about eight tracks for his solo debut with former SOILWORK guitarist-turned-producer Peter Wichers. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include: 01. When We Pray 02. Ja sam ovim lostinspejsovima krajnje nezadovoljan...nema bre veze sa prva dva, a i ocigledno je da Tobi svakim albumom sve vishe i vishe bezi od metala ka djavo od krsta, oov je chak i manji metal od zadnjeg Edguya. E sad mojne me gledate kao zadrtog metalca, a i ja volem Rocket Ridea, odlichan album, ali ove pesme na EPima...ne to to. Lepo je chuti Kisketa i da josh uvek moze lik dobro da peva, Jorn ochekivan...ali sta znam. "Scary Eyes" je ok power pesmica, "Ride The sky" mi nekak bolja iz slushanja u slushanje, dok me naslovnica nervira...obrade nyah. cheka se album koji je nadam se dosta bolji...dosta, dosta...

mene grlo cepa josh uvek..odredjene tonove i ne mogu da izvodim...a sad mi krenuo vrat gore-dole na "Sole Survivor"...bol, ali onaj sladak....i've got that feel...

za odgovor na pitanje ti treba samo da imash album, makar u mp3 formatu i nista vise a riddle je vec okachen na sajtu... ja sam se odlucio za cd, majcu i...majcu e sad treba da prezivim josh 2 nedelje u bgu na crkavici ali jbga..ko zna kad cu opet moci da imam priliku da kupim majcu (or similar) na kojoj pishe sa jedne strane serbia ili belgrade, a sa druge strane Gamma Ray, odnosno Helloween...mislim.. : ) dobro, ima ona terran. pricha o sledecoj godini..ali opet..
