For Battlestar Galactica fans, the wait for information related to the fourth and final season of the acclaimed Sci-Fi Channel show has been nothing less than excruciating. Finally, the wait is over. Nerds and geeks looking over their shoulders for the final disguised Cylon can now mark their calendars because an official premiere date was just announced by Sci-Fi. Season four of Battlestar Galactica will premiere on April 4, just over one year after season three concluded. (The second part of the season-three finale aired on March 25, 2007.) Currently, the Sci-Fi Channel has announced only a release date; the looming question of whether or not the show will split its 20-episode final season into two parts--and whether or not that second part would air in 2008--is still up in the air. Earlier this week, Universal Home Entertainment also announced the release date and details for the show's third season on DVD. The Battlestar Galactica Season Three DVD will be in stores on March 25 and carry a suggested retail price tag of $59.98. All 20 episodes and 15 hours of special features will be contained on six discs and presented in Dolby 5.1 surround sound. Among the special features included are the standard deleted scenes and audio commentary for several episodes, as well as video blogs from executive producer David Eick and podcast commentary from creator Ronald D. Moore. But the real Battlestar Galactica fans will go ga-ga over the extended version of the episode "Unfinished Business," which includes 25 minutes of extra footage. Universal has not announced any information on a possible high-definition version of the DVD, but given that the telefilm Razor was released on HD DVD, it's likely that season three will follow suit in some HD format. Battlestar Galactica, based on the 1970s show of the same name, premiered in 2003 and won a Peabody Award in 2005 and an Emmy in 2006. Apeiron Posted March 26, 2008 Report post Posted March 26, 2008 (edited) Ja se uzeleo, pa uzeo gledati seriju od pocetka I sad onako generalan zakljucak je da mi ovo zaista jeste najbolja SF (svemirska ) serija ikada (uz stargate sg-1 i pojedine sezone star trek serijala), ali da postoje neke stvari koje ipak nerviraju, a to je onaj period oko biranja (pod)predsednika. Toliko je proseravanja a la americka "demokratija", "sloboda stampe", da prosto nervira. Moraju tu biti skandali kao na politickoj USA sceni, nebitno sto je rec o civilizaciji koja nije ni blizu Zemlje. Ili recimo, ispadi sa izjavama tipa "witch hunt", sto je ipak previse "ovozemaljski" za neku tamo desetu civilizaciju. Ali eto, osim toga, sve je ostalo za pohvalu, i sva nada da seriju i privedu kraju kako treba. Thule Posted April 10, 2008 Report post Posted April 10, 2008 ...jedini preziveli bice Baltar, koji je u stvari Isus Hrist, ionako sve vise lici na njega kako odmice serija Baš i ja pomislih danas da mnogo liči na Isusa, što i nije valčjda toliko teško, pustiš kosu i bradu... ali se onda obrijao. A i koliko me pamćenje služi, Isus je došao kao beba, ne baš u svemirskom brodu . I nadam se da neće na takav neki način usrati seriju. Thule Posted April 12, 2008 Report post Posted April 12, 2008 Bio sam svjedok raznih glupih poteza scenarista, producenata, režisera, pa me ne bi začudilo da i ovdje zaseru. Ono što čini ovu seriju toliko dobrom je što nemaš pojma kako će se završiti. Čak ni ne naslućujem kakav bi kraj mogao biti. Ako nastave da ovako dobro pišu scenario, mislim da se do samog kraja ni neće znati kako se ova priča završava. Skroz je dobra i ova epizoda, i sada me zanima da li će pratiti Starbuck na njenim putešestvijima ili će se samo koncentrisati na flotu i Sajlonce. Council A Posted April 12, 2008 Report post Posted April 12, 2008 Starbuck je toliko iritantna u poslednje dve epizode da ja skoro zmurim dok je na ekranu. I meni je 4. sezona za sada sranje. Napravili su sapunicu jos u 3, pa nastavili.. Koga briga sto Apollo ide u "penziju"? Jel mora na to da se vraca sedamdeset puta i na to trosi trecina epizode, kad je vec pre pet bilo jasno? Glumci su ocito zasiceni, ili ih je pauza omela, niko nista ne radi kako treba, a scenario je dovoljno razvucen i napunjen sitnim patetikama, pa kontam da i nemaju zahvalan posao. Thule Posted April 12, 2008 Report post Posted April 12, 2008 Hahaha, ne nerviraju me svi, i ne sada više nego ranije, već me je Rozlinka nervirala i u ranijim sezonama. Pošto sam prve tri odgledao u cugu tako sam imao malo bolji pregled likova, pa me ona počela iritirati. Ne zbog loše glume, lošeg scenarija, već zbog lika takav kakav je. Thule Posted April 13, 2008 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 Epizoda jeste odlična. Doduše, malo mi je čudnija od ostalih. Ne znam zašto, prosto neki čudan osjećaj. A Adama je ubjedljivo najmudriji i najkvalitetniji lik u seriji. Dr. Cottle je opako dobar. Srećom pa se ne pojavljuje više, pošto vjerujem da ne bi mogao da bude onakav iz epizode u epizodu.
