Novi Sons of Seasons je ispao dosta dobar album. Mešavina powera i proga melodije i mraka. Ne sećam se prethodnog albuma ali ovaj podosta vrtim ovih dana. Pevač je iz Metalijuma ali to ne treba da stvara predrasude... Izdvojio bih peseme: Soul Symmetry, Lilith, Casus Belli 1...

 

Lost in Thought neki novi prog bend, Englezi. Ništa preterano ali može da prođe.

 

Wisdom, album Judas... Mađari, neopterećujući power, nešto nalik Morifade-u. Vidim da se nekim ljudima sviđa. Pa ako ima zainteresovanih ima linkova na svakom koraku.

Amaranthe bi teorijski trebalo da mi se svidi ali nešto mu ne ide...

Meni je legao komercijalno pozerski radio friendly powermelodeath sa prelepim vokalom To mu je što mu je

zvuci i izgleda kao metal bend sklopljen u fabrici za prodaju naivnim klincima.

Kolko je uzasan ovaj Amaranthe. Ne znam sta je gore prepucana pesma ili prepucani spot bez ikakvog smisla.

I believe it could be said that “Amaranthe” is the new bright star on the metal sky. Few years ago, while the band was called “Avalanche” the song “Leave Everything Behind” leaked, and got significant attention . Then they released demo, which brought them in the spotlight. They steadiliy gained attention, crowned by choice of Elyze Rid as a Kamelot’s female tour vocalist, deal with “Spinefarm” and a tour supporting Kamelot and Evergrey. So finally the album is here.

“Amaranthe” is a project of Jake E. Lundberg from “Dreamland” and Olof Mörck, guitarist of “Nightrage” and “Dragonland”. For all those who live underground in a cave without internet access, or at least don’t pay attention to demo bands, “Amaranthe” sounds just like the combination of the two, mixture of melodic death metal, and melodic power. The band has three vocalists, Jake on clean male vocals, Andy who does the harsh/growls and stunning Elize Ryd. If you are expecting some soprano/ operatic vocals that are so popular in last decade, forget about it. Elize sings in crystal clear pop voice, while guys complement the songs with their voices. Album has 12 songs, of which only two are slightly longer than four minutes. More or less every song could be potential hit, everything is clear, fast, and catchy more than anything. Album kicks in with a furious “Leave Everything Behind”, which is a song every metalhead could headbang to, but could also be eurosong contest winner. Most of the songs continue in the similar manner, catchy epic refrains, mixture of vocals, and “stuck in your head” attitude. Few songs stand out as a potentially really big hits, already mentioned “Leave Everything Behind”, “Hunger”, “1.000.000 Lightyears”, and probably the catchiest of them all “Automatic”. It is the kind of song that could be played on MTV all day, that being said in a best possible sense. Also there’s “Amaranthine”, a ballad-like heart breaking song, is maybe the best song on this album. Oh and “Call Out My Name” at the moments almost sounds like it has some techno beats in it.

A lot of effort was put up behind this band, few years of waiting, slowly building up presence on metal scene, long advertising campaign, and a really quality production. It came as a surprise that a metal bend’s debut album has this level of quality production. The band has recorded a video for “Hunger”. The video is quite nice, and worth seeing for more than one reason. So yes, it has pop melodies wrapped up in metal package, a lot clean vocals, shorty catchy songs, sound that could be called commercial. Stop being snobbish true metalhead, get over the catchy and commercial aspect. This stuff is a real refreshment, and most importantly this is a textbook example how to make a catchy song that stays in your head, in a genre where everything has been said long time ago. And if this is not enough, another reason to love this band is beautiful, and, in a metal world, refreshingly different Elize Ryd. Or get back to your introvert metal trueness and keep whining about how this is not a real metal album, and how it is shame that metal genre has come to this. No one will care, and this will still be a kick ass album.

Amaranthe je sve ono sto je danas pogresno u metalu spojeno u jednom albumu.

Jeste melodicno, i jeste catchy ali osim toga ovaj album nema nista.

Koje sranje onaj Amaranthe. Nit su vamo, nit su tamo. Hoce da budu metal i opaki, a u isto vreme ljigavi, pitki i komercijalni - uzeli najgore od obe strane. Fail.

Kakogod, meni se Amaranthe vrti po 6-7 put Ja tu više neću da puštam razum da piše ili secira bilo šta, jbg, zgrešio sam

Ima ljudi koji slusaju muziku, ali je vise onih koji je gledaju.

hahaha, kakvo je bre ovo sranje, očekivao sam neki loš metal tipa Sonic Syndicate a ono neko govno ispod svake kritike. Užaš strašni. Ban sa foruma na večnost svakom ko kaže nešto iole pozitivno za ovo.

Stvarno krs tezak. Slozio bi se sa Lunarom i citiracu ga: Amaranthe je sve ono sto je danas pogresno u metalu spojeno u jednom albumu.

jel leakovao onaj Cynthesis album od Zero Hour ekipe?

Izgleda da ga još nema, ukoliko to nije najavljeno već ranije, radi se o obećavajućem vaskrsnuću par članova i ex-članova legendarnih prog tehničara Zero Hour (takođe ga znamo kao i kult 90ih). Uglavnom, album je izašao i dobio par sjajnih kritika.

dada to sam cuo. kul mi je jer nije toliko onaj zero hour fazon koji su vec istrpili. ovo je malo opustenije, vise neki atmosfericni prog. obecava. zbog povratka Erika najvise.

jel ima neko mozda da okaci onaj Looking-Glass-Self - Equinox demo

 

to onaj bend, likovi iz Sieges Even i Andre Matos

Nisam preslusao Amaranth album ali cu reci utiske za pesmu sa spota.

Jako me podseca na Evrovizijske pesme, prvo je Ruslana imala takvu pesmu, a onda su je kopirali sledece 2-3 godine. Hvata me gnar dok slusam tako nesto. Nema tu ni m od muzike.

Mozda je album generalno bolji, ipak je ovo singl pesma. Secam se da sam slusao prosli album i da je bio manje vise ok, mozda sam pomesao nesto, davno je bilo...

Jesu oni bili predgrupa Kamelotu pre 2g.?

 

edit: sad vidim da sam ih pomesao sa Delain, to sam slusao ranije.

Jbg, pun kurac ovih bendova sa pevacima, a svi zvuce isto...

Meni ovo tesko sranje, bas sam htela staviti da se eventualno moze svideti Delain fanovima ili nekome ko se lozi na zenske vokale generalno bez obzira na muziku...
