Our music is influenced by various genres, from traditional Balkan music characterized by the merging of Slavic and oriental cultures, through a variety of traditional music styles of indigenous cultures across the world, to a more harsh, industrial and dark atmospheric sound, common for genres such as doom metal. Most of our lyrics stem from old folk incantations and mantras from the Balkan area, that are sung in Serbian and Vlach languages. Our performances are enriched by utilizing handmade drums and rattles crafted by main instrumentalist and vocalist Siniša Gavrić. These instruments are made from animal skins and foraged materials from the rivers and mountains of Serbia. Being a part of Vartra goes beyond playing music. The producer and keyboardist Sinisa Mladenovic founded the project "Tippstrip" in 2014, and started in 2017. His music is often influenced by cinematic music with long uplifting breaks and heavy dark beats. A lot of details such as glitch samples, circuit noise and cable cracking are some of the notable characteristics of Tippstrip. Melodic harmonies, rhythmical bass-lines and dreamy fantasy synths further ensure the uniqueness of the listening experience. Jok, nije mi nikada legao. Znam da ce ga svirati u celosti, ali rekoh da podrzim Toby-a i kompaniju, kada sam isao i na njegove solo izlete koji mi isto nisu legli sto ovo da ne posetim? Volim od Coyote pa nadalje.

Oni to rade za sve koncerte, i ima smisla, tako se brze rasprodaju. Setite Oliver Tree o kojem sam pisao, bilo je najjeftinih karata tip 35 komada, posle je samo raslo i raslo sto je bio blizi koncert. U svakom slucaju nisam fan ovog albuma, ali jebiga gleda mi se nesto drugacije. I voleo bih da imamo bolji prostor od elektropionira, ali bolje i to nego ona dva prokleta stuba u KC Gradu. P.S. Nadam se da ce doneti i dobar merch, specificno vinile skoro svih albuma. To bi se podrzalo.

Licno mi je neobican album, daleko je vise melodicniji od predjasnjih i svidja mi se sto se toliko poigrava sa vokalom. Ne mogu da kazem da ima bengere sve vreme kao na predjasnjim radovima, ali kada stavim sluske i posranim vremenom setam blatnjavim putevima i stazama po gradu, AHAB jako poentira u toku ove zime. Kada dodju blizu ide se naravno.

Eto jos ce Kayo Dot da se rasproda. Nista vijamo organizatore da dovedu sledece High On Fire, Sleep, Triptykon, Godflesh, Pyrrhon, Mastodon, Deftones, Ahab i ostale dobrote koje nikada ne bismo videli u rodnoj grudi.

David Mackenzie je priredio jednu netipičnu priču o kraju sveta. Radi sve suprotno od onoga na šta smo navikli kod takvih narativa, nije bučno i besno i da se udara kao kakav primat o prsa i da razglasi svima da je spektakl prisutan. Već kroz sitne detalje u montaži i kroz razne uplive informacija i građenju sveta, prikazuje kako gubitak čula utiče na čitav ljudski rod.
