The concept, however, is gaining momentum amongst conspiracy theorists and those fascinated by the social, political, and other real-world consequences of events that, at face value, seem too massive in scope to be the result of design. However, as religious fundamentalists find proof of "intelligent design" abundant in the world around them, so too do those who acknowledge the idea of the megaritual as inherent to the society we live in and, indeed, the universe we occupy. There comes a time when coincidence, happenstance and the arbitrary nature of "chaos" simply do not provide adequate explanation for the myriad spokes of the web we inhabit. When the concept is applied to nature and the rhythms of the planet, the cosmos, and the vast, uncharted depths of the human subconscious, it would seem that viewed in a certain light, every aspect of our physical and psychological realities is megaritual. Megaritual is the final album in the series initiated and recorded by Omar Rodriguez Lopez in Amsterdam. Committed to tape in 2006 and mixed the following year, the album features nine instrumental tracks performed solely by Omar and his brother, Marcel. Accomplished multi-instrumentalists, there are few moments on the album that do not give the impression that the duo are in fact a "full" band, though perhaps not one as populated as The Mars Volta. Opener "A Device Imagined to Turn" rocks and rumbles in a similar manner to that band's anthemic "Goliath"; the somnambulant "Bells at the Slipstream" and "Good is Repaid with Evil" combine piano and synth melodies in a manner recalling Vangelis' soundtrack for Blade Runner; album closer "Dead Hisses to Match Our Own" stomps and wails in psychedelic abandon. Koliki je profesionalac folk pjevač Aca Lukas dokazuje činjenica da se unatoč ranjavanju u utorak, folker pojavio na snimanju "Zvezde Granda" kao jedan od članova žirija. Na oduševljenje prisutnih ali i muških kandidata popularnog show-a, Lukas je uz pratnju menadžera ušetao u studio na Košutnjaku. Uz njega, buduće estradne zvijezde komentirali su i Sinan Sakić, Džej Ramadanovski, Dragan Brajević Braja i Jelena Tomašević. Pošto je tu večer došao pomoću štaka, Aca nije mogao otpjevati svoju pjesmu ali je obećao publici da će to uraditi sljedeći put čim bude bio član žirija. Ipak, najveću pažnju publike svakako je izazvao Džej Ramadanovski koji je pošteno "isprozivao" kandidate ali sa dozom humora i savjeta.

Na moje divno iznenadjenje, prequel je ispao zanimljiviji od prvog i drugog dela. Svuda na netu sada mozete pronaci dvd screener, koji je u stvari workprint verzija filma, gledljiva je, jedino ako vam nece smetati sto na svakih 5 minuta iskace po ekranu property of sony pictures, dont distribute this copy i slicna upozorenja. Prvo sto mi je palo na pamet tokom gledanja, da je ovo u stvari rimejk Spartaka i Braveheart sa vukodlacima i vampirima. Mada film je malo previse kicast za moj ukus, matori vampiri, i njihove sexy gothic ljubavnice u minicima, dajte ljudi... Gluma je spala na samo dva glumca, raspizdelog Bill Nighy-a, koji se ponovo dobro snasao u ulozi surovog Victor-a, i Michael Sheen koji glumi Lucian-a, covek se bas uziveo u ulogu, ali opet nije dovoljno samo da dvoje glumaca nose film na njihovim ledjima... Najvise su mi smetali efekti, tj. kako je lose odradjena animacija vukodlaka, sa obzirom da je od 2006 proslo 3 godine, mogli su da se oko samih modela potrude da ne izgledaju skoro identicni jedni drugima, i da se toliko primecuje da su trodimenzionalni...

Na Zurke i Kes. Pa dobro, koliko se secam Wikler je u dosta intervjua navodio kao uzor Bustha Rhymes-a, i mislim da nije tu nista cudno sto je "pozajmio" od njega, meni to i toliko nije bitno sve dok moze da se slusa, necu da mu trazim sta je od koga uzeto (a mogu) jer mi to nije zanimljivo, elem ipak je ovo tema o Srpskom filmu, a ne o Wiklerovim kradjama, od drugih izvodjaca, heh. Pitao sam preko Sok Koridor myspace kada ce film izaci, i oni se nadaju kroz nekoliko meseci jer je sada trenutno na montazi.

Mislim da on nije radio temu iz Roda, a sada sta je pokrao za novi album ne bih znao, nisam primetio da me je bilo koja muzicka podloga pesama podsetila na neku stranu... Uglavnom instrumental iz trejlera njegovih ruku delo, i zanimljivo mi je kako se uklopilo sa atmosferom filma/trejlera...

Neuspela kombinacija ozivljavanja njihovog prepoznatljivog rave zvuka sa jilted-a i experience albuma u 21 veku... Matirce su mi predosadne, a melodija iz klavijatura zvuci iritantno na momente, iako je glupo poredjenje bolje mi zvuce on iz Horse the band-a... Od pesama bih jedino izdvojio Run With The Wolves, nabujana energicnim bubnjanjem Dave Grohl-a, a i cini mi se kao da je uzivo snimljena, i da je produkcijski nisu ispeglali. Druga bi bila Take Me To The Hospital, onaj isprekidani zenski? vokal me je podsetio na Out of space i One Love, a posle sa sve beatovima i Keith-ovim pevanjem koji podsecaju na Fat of the land album... Sve u svemu slabasno, ne verujem da ce japanske bonus pesme i ep promeniti bilo sta oko ovog izdanja...
