Ne znam za Ritual, nisam ga celog slusao, ali generalno od svih albuma (sem Demonic koji tek treba da cujem) Souls Of Black ima najslabije pesme. Ok ima dobrih pesama - Face In The Sky, Seven Days Of May, ali nekako je zbrzan, bezidejan album, a i produkcija je slaba i tanka. Al' 'ajde, ukusi se razlikuju.

    Meni se, recimo, svidja Electric Crown, a Ritual i Return To Serenity su po meni najbolje Testament balade. Ali fakat - So Many Lies slabasna...

    "Ritual" jeste svakako najmeksiji album, znaci melodicniji od ostalih, i nema agresivnog Chuck-ovog pevanja kao na albumima pre i posle,ali.....za mene je taj fenomenalan! icon_rockdevil.gif

    Da je samo "Return To Serenity"...cuj samo "As The Seasons Grey" ili numeru koja zatvara album. icon_rockdevil.gif

    Inace, "Electric Crown" - je najgora pesma na ovom ostvarenju,bez sumnje icon_da.gif

    Veteran San Francisco Bay Area thrashers TESTAMENT have parted ways with guitarist Steve Smyth and are looking to secure a temporary replacement in time for their upcoming European tour, BLABBERMOUTH.NET can exclusively reveal.

     

    Although no official word has yet come down on the matter, it is believed that former HALFORD/current PAINMUSEUM guitarist "Metal" Mike Chlasciak is the leading candidate to fill the slot. It is presently unclear if Chlasciak would be joining TESTAMENT on a permanent basis or if he would only be assisting the group during their upcoming European tour, which is scheduled to kick off in early June.

     

    Smyth, who has been playing with TESTAMENT since 1999, is believed to have left TESTAMENT in order to join NEVERMORE on a full-time basis. Steve has been performing with the Seattle-based group as a session/touring guitarist for the past two years and is said to be more compatible with the other members of the band (on a musical and personal level) than has been the case with any other session guitarist NEVERMORE have ever had.

     

    As previously reported, TESTAMENT are continuing work on the material for the follow-up to 1999's "The Gathering" and are planning on entering the studio later this spring to begin recording the album for a late 2004 release through Spitfire Records.

     

    TESTAMENT, whose most recent drummer, Jon Allen (SADUS), left the group over an "extremely fragile and urgent family situation" involving the health of his 11-year-old daughter, were recently joined by former SLAYER drummer Paul Bostaph, who had previously played several live dates with the group in 1992 and appeared on the band's 1993 live EP, "Return To The Apocalyptic City".

    AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE:

     

    Like a previous announcement, we would have preferred to break the news to the fans, first. You are getting the official statement right here!

     

    Testament and Steve Smyth have amicably parted ways and both sides remain good friends. Testament would like to wish Steve all the best in his future endeavors, and Steve would like to thank Testament for a memorable five years he will always cherish.

     

    The band has been continuing work on pre-production for the next album, as well as making preparations for the upcoming tour in June. We will have another official announcement soon, so keep checking back.

    The 3rd Testament bootleg is up for sale: "Testament - Live at The Omni 1988." This performance was filmed during the end of "The New Order Campaign" and features the original line-up live at the Omni, in Oakland, CA on December 30, 1988. In limited quantities.
