Par je policiji prijavila 30-godišnja majka devojčice Mira, ali je kasnije "povukla prijavu". Dalibor i Lj. S. su pozvani na razgovor, gde su izjavili da "žive uz odobrenje roditelja, da su sretni i da mogu živeti bez ičije pomoći". Oni su posle toga pobegli i neko vreme živeli u šumi, a zatim je majka, koja ima još sedmoro dece, povukla prijavu. Hrvatski index.hr prenosi da je iz dobojske policije navodno rečeno da je Marinković izvršio krivično delo živeći sa maloletnicom, ali da "za sada nema osnova hapšenje". Ceo grad je u fazonu da se odradi DNK test da vide ko je otac, jer se 10 klinaca u rasponu od 14-16 godina tripuje da su očevi tog jadnog deteta (?).
