We are happy to announce that on November 7th we will invade the Petrax-studios in Hollola again to record our next album. The title is still subject of discussion, so we cannot reveal it. The amount of songs is unsure yet; we keep on writing… inspiration flows!

Many songs are based on the Kalevala (our national epic). The release date too is under discussion. So, not a lot of news, but we guessed that you would like to know that another album is on its way, a really cool album, the best album we’ve ever made… at least, we think so

Finnish folk metallers KORPIKLAANI have entered the studio to begin recording their new album, "Kunnia", due in August via Nuclear Blast Records.

 

A new KORPIKLAANI song called "Metsälle" was originally recorded late last year when the band was competing to represent Finland in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. The track, which will also appear on the forthcoming CD, has since been released as a single and can be downloaded at this location.

Finnish traditional folk metal pioneers KORPIKLAANI will release their eighth studio album, "Manala", on August 3 via Nuclear Blast Records.

 

Commented KORPIKLAANI vocalist/guitarist Jonne Järvelä: "'Manala' is the realm of the dead — the underworld in Finnish mythology. Tuonela, Tuoni, Manala and Mana are used synonymously. This place is best known for its appearance in the Finnish national epic Kalevala, on which many of our new songs are based. In the 16th poem of Kalevala, Väinämöinen, a shamanistic hero travels to Manala to seek for knowledge about the dead. On the journey he meets the ferrywoman (similar to Charon), a girl, Tuonen tytti, or Tuonen piika (Death's maid), who takes him across the river of Tuoni. However, on the isle of Tuoni he is not given the spells he was originally looking for and he barely manages to escape the place. After his return he curses anyone trying to enter the place alive."

 

For those of you who are now afraid of not being able to understand the mystical Finnish lyrics on the album, don't worry: "Manala" will come to you with a bonus CDcontaining the whole album with English lyrics!

Ne znam jesam li jedini, ali svaki put kad vidim ime ovog benda negde, procitam ga Kopilani.

I nije katastrofa ovaj novi za divno čudo. Konceptualni, tema je Underworld pa je i muzika malo tužnija, ima i veselja ali ne onako ultra jeftinog.

Veselje kao parametar

Pivo i Korpiklaani, najbolja kombinacija - bila tužna ili vesela muzika.

Ovaj album je najbolji od Tervaskanta,stvarno su ga malo zabiberili i zanimljiviji je,nema vise tekila i gluposti,samo pivo moze . Naravno Voice Of Wilderness i Tales Along This Road ostaju najbolji :pivopije: ...

Ko voli zivot, voli Korpiklaani!

Rauta je san snova pesma za pocetak koncerta.
