Wendigo Posted November 11, 2007 Report post Posted November 11, 2007 Cenim Rippera i jedva sam cekao da cujem kako zvuci u kombinaciji sa IE, ali dosta sam se razocarao albumom (proslim). Ali, brate, ovaj novi je bas ono sto mojoj ludoj glavi treba da cuje Ubica od albuma, ponovo su se uzdigli, ko je voleo Something Wicked This Way Comes, mozda ce ovaj zavoleti jos vise...Osetis kad se neko stvarno posveti muzici, a ne da izbaci album samo zato sto mora - sto ga ugovor obavezuje na to ili sto bi da zaradi koji yevro...Jedan od ovogodisnjih favorita. Stvar ukusa, ali ne razumem kako nekome prosli album moze da bude los a novi super, posto su ova dva materijala apsolutno u istom fazonu, s tim sto je novi ukrasen brojnim uvodima. Same pesme su veoma slicnog karaktera na oba albuma, melodicnije i kompleksnije u odnosu na ranije I.E. radove. cenim licna misljenja, ali ovaj album, ne moze da se meri ni sa horor show,koji je prosecan album, a kamoli sa something wicked originalom. Iced Earth je sa ovim poslednjim albumom totalno pukao. Schaffer se nikad nije mogao pohvaliti činjenicom da je inovativan muzičar, ali ovaj album je razočarenje 2007-e. Ripper je odličan pevač, ali nikad nije bio za IE. Jon je lepo mogao da uzme mladog Scott Oliva-u iz ''Wind Wraith'',mnogo bolje bi se uklopio. Od horror show na ovamo IE studijski totalno trune. Schaffer je upravo na dva zadnja albuma postao inovativan. Ranije se drzao istog "recepta", i bez eksperimentisanja pravio slicne ali i te kako dobre albume. Ali, malo sam zaplovio Amazon-om, u nadi da nisam jedini odusevljenovim albumom i prijatno se iznenadio, jer: "After 6 years of being an Iced Earth fan and anticipating this album that whole time, I am glad to say that this album was well worth the wait. Jon Schaffer has truly outdone himself here. The music, the orchestration, the lyrics, the awesome metal riffs; everything is here. Glorious Burden is a good album, but it felt more like an album to test the waters than a typical solid IE release. With the band changing record labels as well as its singer, it just seemed like a hit or miss album with some awesome tracks but a few I didn't care for so much. However, any doubts this had created about this epic follow up are put entirely to rest. This is IE's best album to date. Ripper is at the top of his game with a sound that feels like it was crafted just for him, and this may sound like heresy to some, but I find it difficult to imagine Barlow's low, haunting tone on some of these tracks. And with all the great music that flows so wonderfully together, we also have a very well thought and complex sci-fi story that Schaffer has poured his blood and emotion into (The scope and story are more ambitious than a lot of sci-fi that I've read from novelists.) Just brilliant..." Naravno, ima i negotivnih recenzija, ali je vecina hvalospevna considering pomenuti album...Da se razumemo, ako se meni stvarno svidja ili ne svidja muzika, tudje misljenje, ako je suprotno mome, me se ne tice...Ako se slazemo = OK, jer ja ne volim nikom da kontriram radi kontriranja...Znas ono-komplexi i sl. Meni je Framing Armageddon odlican album. Gitarski rad nije nesto ekstraordinaran, ali nemam ni primedbi. Vise me se dotice atmosfera, orkestracije, koncepcijalbuma i, naravno, Ripperovokal. Na proslom izdanju, covek nije ostavio neki utisak na mene, jednostavno, kao da se nije dovoljno uklopio u bend i njihov fazon. Sam album (The Glorious Burden) mi je posle par slusanja dosadio. I ne - ova dva izdanja u istom fazonu nisu. Jedina pesma sa TGB koja je ostavila trajniji utisak je Declaration Day. Ovde nije lakodrediti favorite - When Stars Collide, vecina of headbanging songs, pa i polu-balada The Clouding su cist sex. Owens rules, cak me podseca na Priest i Jugulator, gde se predstavio u punoj snazi (ovde peva sa priblizno istom energijom). Sav respekt i pratecim vokalima...Ako je neko pomislio da ne cenim Matt Barlow-a, to ne moze biti dalje od istine, jer on je poseduje izuzetno mocan glas koga je nemoguce pomesati sa nekim drugim. Ako vam se ovaj novi album ne svidja, mozda nije pravi trenutak da ga slusate. Nemojte ga tek takodbacivati, vec sacekajte koji mesec pa ga ponovo pustite. Ja bre ! "While out on the European tour I had several in depth discussions with many loyal ICED EARTH fans. A common theme of these discussions was how much Matt is missed. I agreed with the fans that things were not the same and that it was a very special period in ICED EARTH's history. "When I heard several months ago that Matt [barlow] was going to be doing a project in music again, I was thinking about contacting him and seeing what his intentions were. I didn't act on this because I was so focused on the writing of the new epic, and frankly, it just didn't seem realistic. "Well, after getting out on the road and speaking with many of you directly, I decided to call Matt and see how he was doing and if he was interested in working together again. I am proud to say that he is coming back to ICED EARTH and we will be getting back to work in the studio very soon. "Matt will be singing on Part 2 of the 'Something Wicked' concept CD and we will be looking forward to getting out on tour and delivering a series of ICED EARTH shows that will rival any in the history of the band. And there will be a proper DVD filmed from this period, something we’ve all been waiting for. "I want you all to know that it was you who made this a reality. I have missed Matt's presence onstage and in my personal life in a big way over the past few years, so I appreciate your honesty in our discussions. It did help me realize the decision to move forward with pursuing this. The fans have spoken and we have delivered! Sto to znaci "gay", nije mi jasno Znaci da je totalno ispao iz svog fazona,koji je fura do The Glorious Burden,sto se tuce muzike.A sto se tice politike jasno je da ne podnosim ameriku i njihovu istoriju.Tri generacije moje familije koje su u batajnici imaju vise godina na ovim prostorima nego sto amerika postoji. Taj termin "gay" je odvratan u kontekstu ove price. Ne nije u odnosu na ranije albume ne da je gay nego nepostoji komparativni pridev koji bi mu dodelio. Ali moramo!!! Ovaj Jon je lud nikad se ne zna sta ce sledece da se desi, tako da moramo da iskoristimo ovu priliku!!! I nadam se da ce da ponovo izdaju part1 sa Metom, glupo je da imamo dva dela sa drugim vokalima... Po meni super vesti, ali takodje mi je zao Ripera... Za koga taj svira, za sebe, ili za "fanove", tj, da li to znaci da sledeci put kad mu fanovi budu rekli da hoce nazad Rippera, ili da bi hteli Zeljka Joksimovica za novog pevaca, da ce opet reci: sve za vas, dragi fanovi, winds of change is upon us, Joksimovic rules. UH! Nemam nista protiv Barlowa, neka, ali ne na ovaj nacin. Sa Ripperom se ponasa kao da je u pitanju neki petparacki pevac, a da nije njega, pitanje je da li bi IE uopste preziveo ovaj poslednji period. I ovo je stvarno neposteno ka jednom takvom pevacu, bar da su namestili da Ripper sam ode, da ostave coveku priliku, a ne: ko te j***, vraca se Barlow, a ti si otpusten. Razocaran sam maksimalno, a taj Schafferov egoizam nikako da prestane da me iznenadjuje. Kako album koji ima onakvo razbijanje od pesme poput Ten Thousand Strong, ili A Charge to Keep moze biti uzas? Majku mu, ocigledno nam se razlikuje definicija reci "uzas", kakvo djubre se danas sve snima u metalu, vi udarili na IE kao da je najgori album svih vremena, a ne vidim nista lose u svirci i izvedbi na istom.
