Meni bar, s obzirom da im pratim rad u svim bendovima i znam sta mogu da urade. Tehnika savrsenstvo kao i uvek, tekstovi prejaki (i to je kao i uvek jer Jon nenormalno dobro pise) ali on koji moze da peva - uz taj previsok trud dolazi do sranja...Procesori, industrijalizam u zvuku? Zar je potrebno?... OD 13 pesama...3 valjaju... Delimo razocharenje. Jbg kad vidis Jon Olivino ime negde, ochekujesh vrh, ali ovde osim "Firefly" (koja mi je nesto tipa genijalne "Holes" sa zadnjeg, ali ne toliko dobra) i "Walk Upon The Water" mi je prosek il ispod proseka..mislim da su najvise zajebali na heavy pesmama, koje su mi dosadne i predvidive. Znachi, definitivno najslabije Savatage/JOP izdanje, ali bogo moj..moze i Oliva da omashi koju, ja mu ne zameram, bitno da nije otishao u neku rasprodaju, dueti sa zenskim vokalom, glupavi spotovi i sl.. E sad, od Savatage albuma da je bolji - teško, to je preterivanje Ma P.O.D. je poznat po tim sumanutim poredjenjima. Bolji je od Magelan i Poets and Madman definitivno. DMD@ Vidish? I stvarno bi bilo lepo čuti i Olivu u sličnom fazonu. Uostalom, njegove pesme zasnovane na klavijaturama su vrlo pogodne za takve duete. Ne d'o bog da se Jon oda takvim glupostima i nepotrestinama..ili ako ga vec uradi, nek ga uradi kako treba, a ne samo da bi imao radio friendly pesmicu. Helloooo mr. Toby Sammeth... Angelystor Posted January 23, 2009 Report post Posted January 23, 2009 JON OLIVA'S PAIN, the band led by the SAVATAGE mastermind Jon Oliva, has issued the following update: "JON OLIVA'S PAIN is deep into pre-production for our fourth release, due out later this year. 13 songs are on the table, with another six still in their infancy. Expect us to deliver another 60-plus minutes. We are determined to make this record heavier and more diverse than the previous three CDs. We have done quite a bit of experimenting over the past two albums, but there is a real desire to push our performances and Oliva's voice harder than ever. Recording will begin at Morrisound Studios in Tampa [Florida] in late March. "Touring news: JON OLIVA'S PAIN is so far confirmed for five European festivals (more to follow) as well as dates in South America. Festival appearances, South American dates and Euro acoustic shows will be announced in the coming weeks. We will hit the U.S./Europe again in the fall of 2009 in support of our next release and we are in negotiations to film a live DVD for an early 2010 release. The DVD will feature not only JON OLIVA'S PAIN material, but also a healthy onslaught of SAVATAGE classics." Ae i to da se vidi...'ocemo neki napredak Jone! Angelystor Posted June 1, 2010 Report post Posted June 1, 2010 Vratih se ovih dana na "Festival", i nakon sto me je na inicijalna slusanja jos pre par meseci vrlo razocarao, sada mi sasvim prija, tu je negde kao i prosli, ako ne i bolji, ali jos uvek daleeeko ispod Maniacal Renderings"a, o Savatage-u i da ne pricam. "Lies", "Death Rides A Black Horse" i "Afterglow" su tata pesme, sa naglaskom na druge dve. "Death" je jezivo dobra, u pravom smislu reci, bas dobra atmosfera kak'u samo Jon zna napraviti. Druga polovina albuma...strasno smara. Bas zaboravljiv materijal... "Now" moze da prodje kao fina balada, ali i ona mi bude malo over-the-top sa onim violinama... Da su obe polovine kao prva, bilo bi fantazija, ovako, da mu das 6/10 i da bude srecan. Sve u svemu, jos neki ovako osrednjiji-slabiji album, i eto vi Savatage reunion, paz'te sta kazem. Gledao sam neke snimke i uglavnom OK peva, ali izgleda... pa, blago receno, lose. Nenormalno se udebljao, i bojim se da nece jos dugo moci tako. Nadam se da ce se opametiti i da ce da se sredi kao Gerre iz Tankarda. P.S.
