Legendary Swedish doom metallers CANDLEMASS have completed work on their new album for an early 2009 release.

 

Commented bassist/songwriter Leif Edling: "We've worked on [the CD] all autumn and it feels really good that it is completed. The sound is superfat, heavy as hell, and very organic/dynamic at the same time. Our friend Chris [Laney; RANDY PIPER, ZAN CLAN] has done a great job mixing it!! I personally think this album is the best one of the three we have released in the new millennium, easy!! It is bigger, better, louder and a bit more mature, I must say!! It is our 'Heaven And Hell', hehe. And if you guys behave and eat your vegetables, we just might be able to add a couple of sound bits on the C-MASS site. Maybe the wait for the release in May next year will be easier. Check this page sometime before X-mas. The only thing that pisses me off is the fact that we can't call it 'Hammer Of Doom', after one of the songs on it. A brand new stupid festival in Germany calls themselves that! Who spilled the beans??? Well, well… the album absolutely KILLS and we will surely come up with a suitable name for it."

 

Iiiiideeeemo! Bice to doomy prolece! Heaven And Hell izdaje album u aprilu/maju, evo tada i Cmass rada :] Jedva chekam!

 

Nego, ne znam da li se zeza za ovo za festival? A i anyway, glupo ime za album Cmassa bi bilo "HOD"..

    Opaaaa, ja tek sad provalio za novi album...ekstra...

    Inache ja se i dalje nadam Mesajinom povratku u bend, mislim ok je Lowe, al kad neko kaze Candlemass odma pomislim na Mesaju...jbg, nekako mi on bash lezi za ovaj bend, i nije to to bez njega...ali ipak stoji da je King ekstra album :da:

    Slusao sam i neki noviji, bas je sranje (teska rec, ali tako je), ne znam naziv. Sta bi ste jos preporucili, a da nije kopija starih albuma?

     

     

    From the 13th Sun, s/t i King of the grey islands, ne zna se koji je bolji od ova tri.

    Nikako se ne bih slozio. Novi albumi su dosta heavier nego raniji. Sto rece, mozda je i do produkcije, ali nikako ne bih rekao da se kopiraju. Je l' su probali i u jednoj pesmi da rekreiraju "Solitude"? "Mirror Mirror"? Jok.

     

    Sto se tiche zadnja dva...poslednji put kada sam bio u KShu sam ih bash pustao rame uz rame..ne znam..King mi je za nijansu bolji ipak, ali oba albuma su izuzetni heavy/doom radovi. Kao i Krux, Leif u zadnjih 7-8 godina izbacuje keva materijal, jedvade chekam onaj solo album da mu chujem na shta zvuchi.

    Svidja mi se prilicno ovo Lajfovo solo cedo! Doomish, ali dovoljno razlicito i od Cmass i od Krux materijala. Povremeno ga udari po nekom epic riffu, a la glavni deo u "It is Not There", pravi Candlemassish epic feeling ima, ali sve u svem' vise se zasniva album na nekoj teskoj i mracnoj atmosferi, a zvuk je sa te strane stvarno perfektan, heavy do zla oca.Pa jos klavijature u pozadini... Darkness. Gorespomenuta plus "On The Edge Of Time" i "Space Killer" su mi favoriti. Prilicno kompaktan album doduse, sve pesme fino teku, tak' da je i pitanje kol'ko se i ove izdvajaju.."Space Killer" je najbolji primer za mracnu i heavy atmosferu + Leifovi zli vokali kako su ovde mocni... Poslusati ovo obavezno!
