Ako su ti albumi iz osamdesetih zvučali previše pop, ovo je jedan od najboljih, uslovno rečeno, "prog rock" albuma izdatih u poslednjih 20 godina: Svaki KC album je klasa za sebe. Potpisujem. Mada, lično, ipak najviše volim albume koje je pevao Belew, iako je faza sa Wettonom isto bila veoma plodna. Inače postoji taj period KC koji je žestoko overlooked, period izmedju In the Court do Reda. In the Wake of Poseidon, Larks Tongues in Aspic i Starless and Bible Black su isto monjumenti prog rocka, ali imam neki osećaj(mada možda grešim) da ostala dela bacaju senku na njih i ostaju poprilično neprimetna. Pa da ti albumi koje sam nabrojao su ostali u senci daleko poznatije braće i malo ljudi obraća pažnju na njih, i ne priča se o njima kolko bi trebalo. Uglavnom sada što se tiče tog perioda svi samo pričajo o In the Courtu i Redu, a malo o ovim albuima koji su meni i više nego fenomenalni. Najslabiji sam sa periodom Discipline/Beat/Pair,te albume sam svega par puta preslusao, a njihov poslednji mi je mozda bio i najomiljeniji KC album duuugo vremena , super mi je ta nova faza skroz. Ovu Discipline fazu gotivim, ali nekao me podseca na Talking Heads sve, ne znam zasto, zato je nekako najmanje slusam, mada ima odlicnih pesama tu. Ako ima neko linkove za omote i slicno, nek baci. EDIT: @Lunar- pominje se Larks' Tongues in Aspic poprilicno, nije da nije, doduse, jeste manje poznat od ITCOTCK i Red. Preslušao sam čitavu diskografiju od poslednjeg puta kad smo diskutovali, i prilično sam zadovoljan i ostatkom njihovog rada. Ma kakav Talking Heads, možda u vokalu (Belew radio sa Talking Heads, inače ima taj odličan pop osećaj za melodiju), i što su se modifikovali za osamdesete. Ali Owner of A Lonely Heart, Invisible Touch i tako te kompromitacije ne mogu da prismrde toj 80's fazi KC, Disipline je tu najbolji, mada ima sjajnih pesama i na Beat i TOAPP. A od kad su se rebootovali za 90e, postali su još bolji, svašta može da se čuje na ovim KC live spin-off izdanjima koje Fripp radi za svoju izdavačku kuću. Odličnu muziku su svirali na tim The ProjeKcts lajvovima, ili one bonus stvari sa Level 5 ep-a... Ma klasa su oni meni u odn na Talking Heads, nego ima mi neki njihov prizvuk u muzici definitivno. A, kao sto rekoh poslednja faza mi je najbolja. Moram ovim ProjeKtc-ima da se posvetim, tu ocekujem ludilo neko skroz. Inace, ne znam da li ste slusali Belew-ove solo radove, ja sam slusao jedan album, i odlican mi je bio, zaturio sam negde to, moracu ponovo da skinem. Svirali su mu Danny Carey i Claypool na onim Side One, Two albumima, dobro to zvuči, Belew je faca velika. P.S. Mozda je klise, ali meni je svejedno najbolji in the court... a posle njega red. Onaj period iz 80-ih ne mogu da svarim i ne verujem da ce se to mnogo promeniti, ne zbog njih samih koliko zbog toga sto ja generalno ne podnosim produkcijske vrednosti te decenije. Power to believe, sa druge strane, je vrlo dobar album i shvatam zasto ga mnogi sa ovog foruma etiketiraju kao zvuk buducnosti. When Robert Fripp & Jakko Jakszyk got together in February 2009 neither expected that their initial sessions of guitar-only improvisations would result in a full-blown album, or that it would ultimately be deemed to be a King Crimson projeKct. As the material from those first sessions developed it was obviously becoming much wider in scope and scale. The arrival of sax player & former King Crimson member, Mel Collins, added further colour & texture to the emerging songs. The line-up was completed with the addition of bassist Tony Levin and Porcupine Tree's drummer, Gavin Harrison (both members of the 2008 incarnation of King Crimson) adding their parts to the material in their respective studios. What had begun as an exchange of ideas had now grown into an album of heartfelt songs, an album that is immediately accessible on first hearing but reveals fresh detail & depth with each subsequent play, as one might expect from musicians of this calibre. With the critical acclaim lavished on the King Crimson 40th anniversary CD/DVD-A releases over the past two years, a sample of 1st Century Schizoid Man forming the central part of Kanye West's Power single & Robert Fripp's guest appearance on Nick Cave's Grinderman's Super Heathen Child in 2010, cover versions of King Crimson songs featuring on recent recordings by artists as diverse as Jazz singer Kurt Elling & folk music stars The Unthanks, it's fair to say that interest in all things Crimson has probably not been at such a high point for many years. Malo me prvo zbunilo ovo ProjeKct, jer ovo očigledno nema veze sa ProjeKctsima nego je više studijski album...
