Andrija Smith Posted June 2, 2011 Report post Posted June 2, 2011 Inace sto se tice novog cover-a... svidja mi se a lot a i onoga sto je Mikael rekao nadam se da ce ovaj album ispuniti njegova ocekivanja, jer najgore sto moze da se desi nekom bendu kao sto je ovaj, je da udje u predvidljive vode, sto ukazuje na nedostatak kreativnosti, a ja nekako Mikaela pogotovu zajedno sa Stevom ne gledam kroz tu prizmu. Po meni, jedini problem može biti nedostatak kreativnosti nakon čega ide srljanje u isforsiranu "nepredvidljivost". Next thing you know, Heritage je elevator music. azal Posted June 2, 2011 Report post Posted June 2, 2011 A reporter from a Finnish music magazine got the chance to listen through the album in Stockholm, the full article can be found here, it is written in Finnish but here is a quick translation of the main points for you -The 5.1 mix worked well even though he normally prefers stereo mixes -The album length is 56 minutes -Things/bands that crossed his mind during the listening session: Sabbath, Beatles, jazz, King Crimson, Cream, Rainbow, Floyd, funk, Purple, Piirpauke, classical, My Dying Bride, folk, Love, Jethro Tull, Maiden -There is no death metal or grunts at all. -The sound is very 70s-like -Synths, piano, mellotron play a large part in the sound. Contrabass and clarinets can be also heard in the song intros -Åkerfeldt says: "We don't care about the opinions of others, if the DM fans cannot handle this, that is their problem". Plus što me zabolje za lajv jer ih vjerovatno neću gledati tako da mi je svejedno. Pa ne treba da batali stare pesme, pu-pu, ali, eto, ako nista drugo, ovako ce imati manje growla za live ubuduce, sta znam... Preslusacu ga kada sam raspolozen za varenje cudesnih artefakata, kad god to bude.... edit: Sad mi pade na pamet da ce novi Opeth verovatno da bude nesto sto sam ocekivao od onog Akerfeldt/Wilson projekta (koji ce, po onim najavama, nesto desno da bude)...
