Nema sta da se kaze, clan najbolje Megadeth postave i covek iz vremena kad bubanj nije zvucao kao ping pong loptica vec je tukao sa svojim tonom i karakterom.

Dva omiljena Menza momenta: silovanje ispod solo jebanja Friedman/Mustaine u Hangar 18, uvek me pokrene na air drumming, i uvod u Trust koji mi svako malo svira u glavi.

    Sećate li se čuvene Manćinijeve Pink Panter teme i one prastare, originalne verzije sa saksofonom, koje se svi setimo kad pomislimo na tu temu?

    Taj saksofon je odsvirao otac Nika Menze.

     

    Preslušao sam upravo Rust In Peace, sa posebnom koncetracijom na Nikovo sviranje, i prisetio se svih onih momenata kad sam kao klinac svirao air bubnjeve na ove pesme. Taman dovoljno tehnike da se vidi da je aždaja, a opet nekako delikatna svirka, aranžmani majstorija, pamtljivi, lepi, kad ih naučiš napamet da ih nikad ne zaboraviš. Bio je bubnjar i po.

    Da, po svim kriterijumima meni jedan od najboljih bubnjara u rok muzici, a poseban je Rust In Peace album, tu je svaka sekunda remek delo. Nik je imao puno udela da to zvuci tako, siguran sam. Ostaje mi misterija samo da li je na ovom novom albumu bubanj u originalu Menzin, posto je on tvrdio da je on u originalu izlupao sve deonice, a posle Adler samo naucio i svirao. Definitivno na albumu niije Adlerov stil iz Lamba, ali verovatno nikad necemo saznati sta je tu istina

    Legendary MERCYFUL FATE axeman Hank Shermann, who played guitar for VOLBEAT on the latter band's 2012 U.S. tour, says that MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine did not allow King Diamond to perform with VOLBEAT during that year's Gigantour.

    When the MEGADETH-headlined Gigantour hit King's adopted hometown of Dallas, Texas four years ago, VOLBEAT asked King, a fellow Dane, to join them on stage to sing the MERCYFUL FATE classic "Come To The Sabbath". "But, apparently, Dave Mustaine didn't want King to be onstage and do whatever Satanic lyrics, or whatever that was all about... So, King came to the concert and he was given the… he was told that, 'Hey, King, you're not allowed' from Mustaine, for some reason," Shermann told Alec Damiano of Vita In Musica (hear audio below).

    VOLBEAT played the intro to "Come To The Sabbath" anyway, with King singing the lyrics from the audience.

    "That was pretty funny," Shermann continued. "What that was all about, I really don't have a clue. I don't know if suddenly Mustaine had gotten into God, or, you know, for whatever reason. [Laughs] But that was pretty bizarre, you know, because back in the days, they were very good friends... MEGADETH were touring with [KING] DIAMOND in the '80s. So there's [been] a lot of changes in that band [MEGADETH]. But, you know, they're good guys... and I like them, and they have made some really cool records over time."

    ako ništa, sad će bar Grobu da poraste mišljenje o Volbeat

     

    Stari su ortaci Volbeat i King, zna se to odavno... nisam siguran ali mislim da im je neko iz Kingovog tabora ili sam King gostovao na nekom albumu.

     

    Doduše znam da je Musavi worshipovao MFate kad je bio mlad... ali to su izgleda davno prošla vremena.
